What is with "Doc is in"?
His name is nurse, do they know those are two different professions?
Also terrible contract.

Jones vs Nurse will be an interesting thing to watch on which contract is worse.

Does Holland not understand how the napkin negotiation works.

In the real world

Holland - "I'm going to write my offer on this napkin, and you Mr Agent are going to write what your client wants on your napkin. Then we'll exchange them and it gives us an idea of range for negotiation"

In the Oilays world.

Holland places a napkin and pen in front of an agent - "Now you're going to write down what your client wants and give it to me"

Agent - "And your going to write down what your willing to pay and we negotiate right?"

Holland -"Neogiatewhatnow?"

Agent - "All these zeros barely fit on the napkind" Does a mental high five.

Nuge, Nurse, Hyman all getting max term taking up almost $20M in space. It is truly remarkable how Ken Holland has perfectly carried on the tradition of Chiarelli

Again, this isn't Holland's decision, but he will be blamed for it.

Oh man, I really thought it was the Oiler bait strategy(Leak 9 so 7 doesn't seem insanely stupid), but they actually went over 9. It's good to now the Oilers can still impress me.

If he puts up another 8 seasons of what he did last season, fine, but I just don't see that happening.
He's turned into a pretty decent defenseman (unfortunately), but I don't think he's worth more than 6.5 AAV at the most.

I have seen some Oilers fans justifying this as something that Holland simply had to do—that under no circumstances could he allow Darnell Nurse to get to free agency. It is literally like handing over to Nurse's agent an actual blank cheque.

Hahahaha.

Honestly how awesome is it that our two biggest rivals are run by Ken Holland and Jim Benning?

Hold my beer. No, you hold my beer. No, you're gonna hold my beer. Oh yeah? Hold my beer.

Theoretically the Oilyaz have about 7 million left next year, and have 15 players signed. They still need to sign Yamamoto this year and with the way Holland negotiates its a 6x6. Then pool party next year.

They are going to have to move a major salary out next year.

Canadian Women's Soccer Team wins Gold Medal
Mohammed Ahmed gets a Silver medal in the 5000m
Men's 4x100 relay team wins Bronze.

Oilers sign Nurse for more than Makar, Heiskanen, Hamilton and Pietrangelo

What a ####ing great day in sports!
