That is what I am thinking too. Basically guarantees that Smith will get the start in Game 1 (and against Oilers) with Rittich playing two games in a row.

I'm positive Gaudreau's time will be limited like it was vs. the Kings as soon as things go the slightest bit off the rails.
I think the Ducks will be doped out and in offseason mode tonight though.

Rhett Warrener on the Morning Show made the point on Monday that players on non-playoff teams have already booked their flights out of town for their holidays, and between players trying to get to the playoffs and players trying to stay healthy enough to get to Mexico no one wants to risk an injury at this time of year.
