If the new home jersey (if they do a redesign) contains none of features above, then you'll have the perfect Flames jersey.

But they'll surely use at least half. With some new monstrosity we've not even thought of yet.

The sad part is you could almost mistake it for some of the jerseys they wear in European leagues

Don't forget the Stanley Cup patch. We're going all the way with that jersey.

I know someone involved with Adidas. Speculation is the Flames do not want to go to permanent retros. He also seems to think the flags will be staying. Hope he's wrong.

For me, part of the reason the retros work so well is because they only wear a couple times a season.

I'm not in favor of those being the full time home jersey. I still like the black C.

I don't need them to go to permanent retros...but just make it good. I'm tired off seeing great re-designs around the league only to be shovelled garbage like our last 3rd jersey.

Oh God I hope that's wrong about the flags - I think they've run their course. If we don't go full retro, at least keep them clean. Maybe something like this?

They better just be ####ing with us.

I'm not against something new but I just don't trust them to do a good job. Go with the retros because it's a guaranteed beauty

It doesn't even have to be the retros, I could be on board with a fresh look (with the original C of course). I just want to see the red/yellow colour scheme, let the black sit the next few plays out. Then make it's nostalgic third jersey return in 03-06 form.

EDIT: Didn't see the above, agreed the fear of them botching the attempt is high. Anything beyond messing with the cumberbund and you're playing with fire. I'd be ok if they managed to thin that out a bit if it works aesthetically

The new jerseys are nearly identical to the models the team introduced a few years ago with two exceptions. The new sweaters include the flag of Alberta on the right sleeve and a Canadian flag on the left sleeve.

"It's for one year but we had to get permission from the federal government and the provincial government," explained Flames president Ken King. "The league permitted it for one year and we will have to seek permission to go forward beyond that.

Yes! A stylized Scorch patch should be the shoulder logo.

Those flags are brutal, that is too bad to hear. Seems like everyone hates those and the piping. I don't understand why the Flames uniforms except the retros have been so bad for so long since they ditched the original, simple and clean look. Like do they let the owners or Ken King design them or something?

The two efforts at thirds have to be two of the worst thirds the league has ever seen (and this is coming from a sucker who owns both). Since 1995, the only even halfway good ones outside of the retros were the ones from the 04 run.

Making it worse there are always at least 10 mockups of awesome looking jerseys on the board at any given time just to reinforce how bad the current ones look.

I wonder if the flag would look okay if they were coloured using only the teams colours... having that little bundle of completely different colours looks ridiculous.

I guess a coloured version is basically the third jersey patch.

I think there'll be a pretty simplified design (hopefully inspired by the original unis). Given talk that advertising may take up some jersey real estate.
