The obvious one this year is going to be Tyson Barrie.

I just don't like athletes who cry when they lose. I get that he was emotional after a devastating series but I am of the mindset that real champions only cry when they win.

I think Sens wanna move on from him. So likely low acquisition cost.

Well you are alone here, I think. People cry, period. Whether they win or lose, players will cry. It's unfair to say it is OK to cry if you win, but unacceptable to cry if you lose. Both are emotional extremes.

I wonder if there was a way to Chiasson and Hoffman from the Sens? Maybe give them a combo of Colborne, jooris, Bouma. Didn't the sens sour on both Hoffman and Chiasson?

Hoffman would look on the wing with Bennett. The only problem might be that with Cameron out and Boucher in, the new regime may like Hoffman more than the previous one did. Regardless, a 29 goal scorer won't come cheap. Maybe something like Poirier + Colborne for Hoffman + Chiasson?

2016-17 RFA RW's
Valeri Nichuschkin
Kevin Hayes
Nail Yakupov
Alex Chiasson
Teemu Pulkkinen
Jiri Sekac
Kyle Palmieri
Joel Armia

Whereas there's a much better selection of decent young goalies.

Andersen
Mrazek
Pickard
Vasilevskey
Kuemper

etc.
Nichushkin, Hayes and Chiasson please. I'm honestly not as concerned on the goalie front, I'm someone who believes Gillies is going to surprise a lot of people at camp.

Don't get the Chiasson hype that some of you are talking about. He was terrible last year in Ottawa and will be 26 when the season starts.

We have better options within the organization.

It would be much more satisfying if, in the event of another 'Hamilton-esque' trade, it again is preceded by the Oilers doing something monumentally stupid.

Maybe they could offer-sheet someone who then signs with his original team and then gets acquired by the Flames for pennies on the dollar.

Like who? Colborne? Shinkaruk?

Jooris? Hathaway?

Who else have we tried on Johnny and Mony's RW?

Chiasson can at least give that crowd a bit of a challenge. And I believe the acquisition cost will be very low - maybe a late pick. And there's no real 'hype' that I can see, at least the kind you're thinking of - he's a fairly low-risk, big body right-shot winger that could probably be had for a song and wouldn't command a lot of salary.

Chiasson had 8 goals and 6 assists.

Id easily take Colborne, Shinkaruk and Hathaway ahead of him. Jooris is a wash.

Id probably also think F Hamilton, Shore, Elson, Agostino, could at the very least play a similar game to him.

Most Sens fans want nothing to with Chiasson, he wouldn't improve the Flames and is definitely not the answer to our number one right wing position.

He looked like a player in Dallas. Last year was terrible, but I think he is a good buy-low candidate.

I'm worried about our top 6. Just address it by bringing in at least one good piece and I'll be satisfied.

Assuming Bennett plays centre next year who will he play with? Who will play with Monahan and Gaudreau? I think either Colborne or Bouma play with Backlund and Frolik. I could see Ferland playing with Bennett. Hopefully Porier and/or Shinkaruk can make the team.

I would like a bit of a re working of the forward lines this summer. Add a couple top 6 and move on from a few guys if need be

How does Anthony Mantha look these days? I don't follow Detroit but I remember he was in a similar boat as Nichushkin awhile back.

Nail Yakupov for cheap who in Dubnyk and Schultz fashion finds his game after leaving Edmonton.

Missed 16 games, but scored 21 goals and added 24 assists in the AHL last season. 4th in team scoring.

Maybe Brad can talk to Colarado.

Pick up one of Varlamov/Pickard, and there has been speculation about Duchene being on the trade block. Could Brad work out a deal involving these players? Hefty price to pay but I think it can be done.

When Duchene plays Wing, which side does he prefer?
