Don't give a flying F about the Matthews points. I've wanted to see the Flames beat down the Blues like that for years. One of the best wins of the season!

Frolik, Monahan, Gaudreau, Hamilton all with 3 points.
(in the other end:
Stajan 0 points, 0 SOG, 0 hits, 0 blocked shots, -1. Yikes.
Wideman marginally better with 2 blocked shots, although with almost twice the TOI.)
Hey, you want a guy with some terrible stats from tonights game?
Vladimir Tarasenko 0 points, 2 SOG, 1 hit, -4, 19:13 TOI. Now that is worth a 'yikes'!

Great unselfish play by Monahan to pass to Frolik for the hat trick. I'm sure Monahan will have atleast a couple more chances for the hat trick during his career with the flames.
Nice to see Ortio get the win. He had all those good games where he took the loss because the team couldn't score.
Two shorties and an empty netter has to be one of the more unusual hat-tricks to see. Good on Frolik. He looked good with Monahan and Gaudreau too. We may have a right winger for them.
Sean Kelso @kelsohockey
Frolik for @NHLFlames nets 2 short-handed goals for the first time since Cory Stillman did it on 01/09/1998. Fleury & Nieuwendyk only others

Just goes to show that sometimes the traditional stat line doesn't tell the whole story.
The Stajan line played well. They were good on the forecheck, cycled well, and built good pressure.
The offensive talent just isn't there.

Am I the only one who noticed Pietrangelo take a flying swing at Frolik at the end? And then after he scored tried to get a slash on him as he skated past. Maybe it's just the Blues being upset at the lose but I always thought Pietrangelo was a classy guy.
