Add secondary scoring, preferably from new guys with size so they don't get pushed around most games, a physical defenseman for the same reason, and even average special teams (which relates to the Hartley part).

I sure hope we don't get screwed by the draft lottery.

You know we will though, since the odds have been adjusted because of the Oilers garbage franchise, the one time we finish 3rd last or worse and we'll end up getting bumped back 3 spots.

He complained? I never heard that. If so then Hartley should sit him even more. A coach shouldn't give in to player demands.

True but another year of Hartley is detrimental. Is Huska ready? Kevin Dineen or John Stevens?

Agreed. And hopefully they continue give him the chance. Looks a helluva lot more tuned in than Ferland.

All of our new guys (Nak and Pak at the back) have looked good, relatively speaking.

If you don't believe he'll last the season next year, he really should be replaced in the offseason. I think if he's the coach at the start of next season, we get off to a terrible start and it's another lost season.

I hope we keep him in to the end of the year and pick the right replacement in the offseason. I honestly think he's lost the team and everyone is on to his strategies.

Well that wasn't the worst result really. Interesting they mentioned on the broadcast what I've been thinking, the top 5 of this draft are all NHL ready. Much morseo than the guys after Ekblad in 2014.

This is easily the worst Flames team in franchise history. Not even the Brian Sutter/Young Guns teams were this bad. At least those teams occasionally won a game or two.

It was a while ago, maybe even January or December, but said something about how it was a contract year for him and he doesn't even get a chance to earn another contract.

This is why, Hiller. This is why you weren't getting the net.

I thought he was noticeable. He's only 19 years old and gets what never feels like any power play time, I'm not sure we should be expecting him to start scoring every other game.

172 penalty minutes in the 16 games since the Wideman incident (10.75 PIM per game)

go figure.
Without doing the math, I bet it takes a leap right after the appeal hearing. The next game was the SJ #### show and it's been a disaster ever since. I wonder what they said in that appeal.

Someone has to answer for this horrid season...this group of players should not be a bottom-feeder.

Honestly, seeing how well-coached the Flyers looked a few games ago, I'd be looking to bring an NCAA coach of our own - Jankowski's college coach.

7 losses in a row, and 10 losses out of the last 11.

If it isn't a tank job do you blame people for thinking it is? Our hopes basically disintegrated with Ramo doing his ACL in. He isn't good enough either but at least we were within 5 points of a playoff spot with him in goal.

Hiller is one of the worst goalies I have ever seen playing for the Flames.

Is Johnny going to sign a long term contract looking at this?

The problem is that those teams had Iginla, and maybe Savard some nights, same with Val Bure, and an already disinterested Morris, but no bonafide star guys (at that stage Iginla was still working his way up) like JG, Brodie, and can make the case for 3x 20 goal guy in 3 years Monahan.

Flames have overall many better peices than those late 90's teams, but then much worse/lazy/disinterested players who lack confidence, and a coaching staff who doesn't seem to be able to adapt on and off the ice, and hasn't improved the special teams one bit, again, with top offensive guys on the PP.
