I believe all tickets were $10 for this game, IIRC.

Almost true. There are plenty of season ticket holders who bought tickets at the normal price, and there's always been a fair amount of fans who go to the season opener, so the building was probably mostly sold before they rolled out that promo. I believe it was just to make sure the building was really, really full.

Philly taking a ton of cheap shots in this game. Medvedev just tried to take off Trocheck's head in the middle of the ice.

I hate it when teams think this stuff is ok just because they're losing.

Refs respond the right way and give Florida a 2 minute 5 on 3 PP.

Perhaps Philly is really regretting sitting out Gagner & Lecavalier as healthy scratches and sending expensive D-man Andrew MacDonald down to the AHL right about now....

Forsberg makes it 2-0 Preds.

Oilers wonder kids not off to a good start, even when their bread and butter is offense.

If anyone thinks Jagr signed in Florida to take it easy in a non-hockey market, you should have seen the back check he just made on a 2 on 1.

Even at 43, Jagr is all in on this team.

Just have to say, this Panthers team this year has a TON of speed and skill. They might surprise the entire Eastern Conference this year.
