I'm not far from you, Old Yeller. It was rather neat watching that spout break off the main body and slowly twist on its own before dying.

Goin' up to the penis in the sky
Goin' up to the penis in the sky
That's where I'm gonna go when I die
When I die and they lay me to rest
I'm gonna go to the place that's the best.

The storm system that the tornado warning was issued for is going to move right through the heart of the city! Everyone watch out!

I walked around our the building and couldn't see anything.

Think I'm going to finish the day from home to be safe?

For anyone considering driving right now, probably not a great idea! I don't think you'll make it very before it gets bad. Chances of a serious accident in a hailstorm are much higher than getting hurt by a tornado.

Little sister says she seems to be right on the border of the storm. Blue skies to her left towards Okotoks, and dark to her right towards Calgary.

I told to keep an eye out. Sounds like she'll be okay though.

Wait... so, your plan, if there is wind strong enough to penetrate your house and damage your computer.... is to drive towards said stuff?

Saw three funnels come close to/touch down near Blackfoot in the last 40m. My entire staff is stuck in an interior board room. Thankfully we upgraded to mobile PC units a few months ago so we're still able to work woooo.

I get called a negative Nancy when i say central Alberta's weather is the worst of both worlds. 6 month winter that dips to -30°, and then the damaging storms of the southern midwest in the summer. There's kinda no upside.

Yesterday's storm did this in the Ponoka area.

Wife just called and the news said anything South of Glenmore should be taking this very seriously, it could happen at any time. I wouldn't recommend heading that way, just to be safe.

I dunno. Maybe save a few valuables and go hide in the basement. Rather than let everything get blown away while I twiddle my thumbs at work...
