Wow. Are we entering another dead-puck era??? The first below hunderd point Art Ross winner since the mid to late sixties... Kinda dissapointing to see.

I guess I wasn't even paying attention on the scoring race because I didn't even know he is leading the NHL in scoring. Benn always seems to be scoring against the Flames and having Seguin as your linemate really helps. I bet Oilers are wondering 'what if' they drafted Tyler Seguin instead of Taylor Hall. Eberle will probably have the same season as Jamie Benn this season... nevermind..
I must not watch enough Dallas games because I had no idea people hated him so much.
Insanely high powered offense with a decent goalie and a young defense that needs some work.
No reason they should miss the playoffs.
But then when you watch one game you quickly realize why they did miss. Players like Benn and Seguin will put up points, but they're not leaders, and they don't play a team game.
I keep thinking Boston was stupid for trading Seguin but is superior offensive production going to be worth his crappy attitude?
First below 90 points I think he means, not 100.
Also I don't necessarily see this as a bad sign, scoring is about the same as it's been the past few years, just the parity in the league now is insane.
Just ran into his sister at bin 4 burger here in Victoria. She was so proud and was aware of how all 4 puts where scored! Nice to see the family is so tight!
What's interesting is that overall league wide scoring wasn't down significantly from last season.
There were only 24 fewer goals scored this season than last year, and 4 more goals this year than 2011-12. The average number of goals per game has essentially been the same for the last 4 seasons.

Great player and I'd want him on the Flames in a heartbeat...
but his Canuck like diving tendencies are a disgrace. He does do it, and does it often. He's a great player who doesn't need to play like that. Since he has been and probably will be a great addition to Team Canada I'd like to see him cut those Vancouver like tendencies out.
Its strange to me when people admit that he dives a lot and yet they would still want him on their team.
Everyone remember the Chicago/Vancouver series a few years ago where the Sedin twins(among others), were more concerned with diving than they were with playing hockey? Stuff like that gets in the way, and I can't imagine that some of the more honest guys in the NHL think very much of a guy who dives a lot.
Hard to believe a team being able to rally around a captain the way the Flames have rallied around Giordano when your captain is a diver and doesn't play the game honestly.
Dallas is a mess until they get that sorted out. Didn't Seguin miss practice a few days ago? Can't imagine the team sticking together very much after they were out of the playoffs if their captain has that kind of reputation.
Benn is an awesome hockey player.
Not sure why people hate him so much - probably because he school'ed us there that one game. Diving? Not so much as good at selling a penalty. There is a difference.
I must not watch enough Dallas games because I had no idea he is a diver.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.
I didn't think so either. Where is the diver rep coming from? Did he get fined?
