I wanna see if Anisimov can get through "I'm excited to be here" speech. That first interview would be great, the interview should open with "welcome to hell"

#Oilers asst. GM Scott Howson was in #Nationwide tonight, but that's not unusual. He lives in Bexley, a suburb of Cbus. Here frequently.

Why does the Oilers Asst GM live in Ohio.
Would YOU want to live in Edmonton???

Anisimov is a 3C. Perron is a top 6 winger, and one of the few oilers who plays like he cares.

Good deal for CBJ if true.

Man the Oilers define stupid. Answer to getting blown out amidst a losing streak.
Hey lets trade one of the few players that actually care about winning.
Hey and lets trade him for a floater.
Mac T and Lowe are awesome.
Reminds me of lets trade our most rugged shot blocking character D men to our Provincial rival.

Would be a good trade for the Oil relatively speaking. I say that as an organization that iced an incomplete roster and is not mid-way through the season trying to shore it up. That will cost you a premium.

You're gonna stop Eakins from playing (insert roster <lawl> player here) on the first line? That's how it works you know

Side note.. I hope a string of trades sees these mouth breathers nickel and dime'd into an ECHL squad

Truth is about to hit fast and hard regarding player values, and the league-wide level of respect for the franchise will probably be apparent both through the quality of moves made, and also from any leaked scenarios that fell through. Can't wait!

Maybe playing along side another Russian will be what it takes to find Yakupov's inner goal scorer? Plus, Perron isn't exactly lighting the world on fire. Might work out for the Oilers.

They sure love their Russians up there huh? Over the last couple years, they've had Yakupov, Yakimov, Khabibulin, Grebeshkov, Belov, Vladdy Hockey ...

Anisimov isn't the answer however their options are probably severely limited as a lot of decent centers will have limited NMC's and wouldn't accept a deal there even if MacT actually had the stones to make a bold move. I don't see this trade making the Oilers worse so in Oilers land making a deal that doesn't make them worse is kind of a win.

And now he seems like one of the smartest guys on that team. He cares and wants to be on a team that is good instead of a team that is no good. I wouldn't be surprised if he makes a "get me outta here" statement soon.

Anisimov makes the Oilers better. Losing the only player who knew you can't go 1 on 5 all the time makes the Oilers worse.

Not sure how that shakes out

sounds like it is falling apart

Aaron Portzline @Aportzline
#CBJ GM Jarmo Kekalainen says he's having "regular talks" w other GMs, is not close to a trade.

Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC
Further to @Aportzline tweet, was told this am CLB is not at all keen on trading Anisimov. Good player.
