Did he watch our games? Against both Vancouver and Edmonton, we spent most of the game in our own zone?

Why on earth would he split up Raymond-Colborne-Bouma?
Why not just put Gaudreau with Glencross and Backlund?

Gaudreau with Glencross would be bad... Kid would never get the puck. Backlund though, I'd like to see.

Hartley has been putting Backlund's line against the other teams top line. They have the most responsibility defensively.
Not sure if Gaudreau would be a good fit there yet.

As a Giants and Flames fan, I might have to get a little ridiculous and move a second TV into the living room tonight. But here's hoping for two St. Louis losses!
(My girlfriend is going to think I'm nuts)

Shame this is going to be brutal, but it'll be refreshing to see us lose to a good team that plays good hockey.
First game this season that's midnight for me as well, which is early.

Yeah good point.
Last year, Stajan got a lot of those assignments but so far this year it's been Backlund.
Doesn't change the fact that he should leave Bouma on the Colborne line though.
Put Setoguchi with Backlund and Gaudreau with MOnahan

The game is at 6am here and I'm planning to still be drinking. I apologize in advance for any comments I may make in the game thread or on forum.drunkpuck.com.

Still annoys me that we're choosing to keep him here and hold the ready prospects in Addy. Flip him to anyone for literally anything.

I think there will be a lot of terror in fear in the Flames zone tonight. St Louis is a real tough test.
I think what Hitch was saying is that the Flames do a good job of driving to the key scoring areas, they're not a perimeter shooting team. Plus of course he's going to say nice things, what's he going to do, pull a Stone Cold Steve Austin style promo and talk about how they're going to kick the Flames square in the $$$ and there's nothing that the Flames can do about it.
At least I have a first date tonight so I can go through the same abject feelings of terror as I completely screw things up as the flames.

I doubt the teams are lining up to acquire an often injured winger making $4M a season for another season beyond this one.

Someone has to sit. Rather it be Jones than one of the kids. Pisses me off that we didn't buy him out but there is always next season. Sit him all year so he doesn't get hurt so we can buy him out. Our version of David Booth.

Yeah, of course. I guess it's not a regular occurrence to see someone earning that money being sent down to the minors? Or even sitting the season?
I want to think that the management were hoping for him to get injured
