Whale watching. If you're only there for a day, and if you've never gone whale watching before do it, it's by far the best way to spend your time.

For the record, I lived in Victoria for ten years.

Trust me, whale watching.

Just remembered, the seals are not always at Fishermans Wharf, they come around lunch and dinner.

I also cost 5.00$ for six fish and is totally worth it to feed them . Just watch out for the gulls.

If you listen to only a single post in this thread, for the love of god make it this one. Last two times I have gone to JAM there hasn't been a wait but it is worth standing in line for.

Do it.

Finish your day off at Big Bad John's, especially if you have a gal with you. Classy joint and the best bar in Victoria.

Haha. Yeah that's the ticket. They certainly do put the ass in class for sure.

Sidenote to OP: Avoid at all costs if you have peanut allergies...

Just got back from Vic. If you want the best fish n chips of your life, hit up Red Fish Blue Fish in the Inner Harbour.

http://www.redfish-bluefish.com/

I hadn't been there for 3-4 years. The place is reaching NY level line ups. But it is so worth it. Be prepared to wait for 30 mins, even if you show up right when they open at 11:30am.

Also a +1 for Salish Sea Aquarium. Great little place. Good interactive exhibits for kids. Good to kill 30-45mins before heading to the airport.

I am in Victoria visiting my brother, we are planning to go watch the Packers/Bears game tomorrow night at a bar. Any recommendations for a good sports bar (or just a regular bar). Preferably somewhere where the will have the sound on.

Thanks

If you're downtown check out 'The Podium' or 'The Sticky Wicket'.

Clubhouse/Wicket AKA the Strath bar none. Do not consider other options.

As for "Smokables", try Leaf on Oak Bay Junction.
