I dunno plenty of players have been traded within a year of re-signing. Untouchable is certainly not the word to use. Burke would certainly listen to offers for Stajan and won't demand the world for him.

Im not convinced Burke believes we have the right core to build around or lets say we have very few pieces. This and next years draft will play a huge role in that!

If Boston was offered Crosby for Bergeron/Krejci they would probably take it.

Your argument is invalid on the fact you are naming a more skilled player before ours. Every team has their untouchables but that doesn't mean they wouldn't do it if they got the chance.

All kidding aside, there is t a single player in this team I wouldn't trade. Is like to keep monahan but if a team wants to over pay then you let them and make a trade

In this Flames rebuild I don't believe any player can be considered an untouchable. If a GM can improve his team better than it currently is then he should make the move to do so. But the Flames can not move players and get the significant worse end of a trade.
I would respond to the op question with the players I would not want to be traded is a pretty small list. Gio, Huddler and Monohan. Russell is the player I most want to see resigned. As for everyone else I would not oppose any of them being moved but it all depends what is being offered in return.

Remember last year when Sven was untouchable? Or a few years ago when Backlund was untouchable? Or Irving (haha)? How do those three look now? In Backlund's case he's decent, but definitely not a cornerstone of the franchise.

This is a horrible team. Like seriously, worst team to ever wear the Flaming C. Every single player is tradable.... Sure, we need to get great returns for guys like Monahan, Brodie and Sven, but really, the ultimate goal is to win the Stanley Cup, not to keep all the "good guys" or "vets that are good in the locker room."

According to Burke's press conference when he fired Feaster he mentioned that Feaster brought in a number of players that will have an impact on the Flames for years to come, players like Monahan...and other players. So I'd say the list of untouchable players consists of Monahan.
