Haven't read the whole thread yet, but I'll attempt to sum it up.
-someone makes a trade value comment about Stajan
-Someone makes a 'nevermore' comment about only having 1 goal against
-Paul Byron is good
-Eastern conference lol
-Comment about how we should have lost for a better draft pick
CP, so predictable

Boring game for all but the last 5 minutes.
Byron was a beast.
Ramo looked shaky when the Sabres started to push back.
Butler wasn't bad. He's much better playing 15-18 minutes instead of 25+, or maybe it's because he has less of a chance to screw up.
Glencross was terrible. The only time I noticed him was when he was part of the too many men penalty that called the first goal back. The Flames really need him to get hot to maximize his trade value.

Well I know Smid couldn't turn it around by himself but I think he's playing a big part.

meh, ended up not being such a poorly entertaining game.
the 3rd period made up for the suckage that was the first/second periods. maybe the beers just finally kicked in by then, who knows.

Have to give the coaching some credit for this.

Maybe no Wideman is also playing a part as well. It seems he was being way overplayed at times this season.

Yep. The goalies have been better of later (esp. Ramo, who has been giving us a chance to win). The goalies have been aided by and contributed to the improved PK, now 15th in the league. This has all helped improved the team Plus/Minus, now 24th at -16.
Some signs of slow, gradual improvement.

Pretty boring game but the good guys prevailed in OT. Backlund should get an extra assist on that first goal. Paul Byron scored a tying goal then had an assist on the winning goal by Stajan. TJ Brodie had a pretty interesting game. Took two penalties after getting beat on the puck but other than that I think he played okay. Cammy also had a pretty interesting game. Scored a goal but it was disallowed because 2 guys jumped in when Ramo went to the bench for extra attacker. Then Cammy got beat on Moulson's goal. Karri Ramo I think played well and he will or should start against the Rangers.

yup. it's funny during the game i was just thinking how much more noticable the hole on D was felt when giordano was out, but not that much while wideman's been out.
i would love it if the flames could turn wideman into some valuable assets this deadline. I'd be fine with him on the flames mind you, as i think he's got some pretty good offensive instincts and helps the PP.

Ramo seems to be establishing himself as our #1 goaltender.

The results are there in terms of goals against but the defense and goaltending were pretty bad today and in the last couple of games as well. I guess for some results are all that matter but the defensive game hasn't improved and goaltending is still very erratic as it was early on.
