He has 2 GWG's thus far, his contract is of Super Value Menu 'lore and he's a local boy - don't understand the hate. Especially when there is endless patience for players on this team who dream of 25 goals a career, never mind a season?

Yuh huh.
Pure goal scorers are guys who are known first and foremost for their creativity and ability to score goals. This is not Glencross.
Potting 10-15 garbage goals a season doesn't not constitute as a "pure goal scorer." May I suggest you actually learn what the phrase means before throwing it around.
Even Patrick Kane puts in more effort than he does, and really, he is a "pure goal scorer" who could rely solely on his offensive zone play.

The only aspect o f Glencross' game that shows he's a pure goal scorer is his lack of defensive play and unwillingness to hustle

The reason for all the hate is because if he's not scoring, he doesn't bring any other intangibles to the game. He doesn't back check, hardly finished his checks, and routinely makes lazy plays that either break up the offensive rush or fail to exit the defensive zone.
To say that he's a goal scorer and is just off his game is complete and utter sh&t! Now I"m not comparing him to the likes of Zetterberg or Datsyuk, but if you look at other players whom Glencross is of similar talent level (Kesler, Brown, Benn, Marchand), what Glencross differentiates is his desire to compete.
I'm sorry but watching Glencross out there, he almost seems content with losing. Which is just unacceptable.

Well the bolded is certainly true...
YEAR: G A P
2011: 24 19 43
2012: 26 22 48
2013: 26 18 44 (prorated)
2014: 27 22 49 (pace)
so you're right, it is complete and utter sh&t to say that he is off his game.

Warrener on The Fan this morning has his "sources" saying 4-6 weeks, no other details.
He refused to cite them, so it could very well be CP's guesses.

Yikes,
With Stempniak and Glencross both out long term now it is time for our young guys to fill in on the offensive side of play. Baerstchi, Monahan, Backlund, Colborne, (insert AHL Call Up Here), need to take this opportunity to prove the are top 9 NHLers with offensive ability.
Hopefully the coaching staff puts them in the scenario to take the ball and run with it over the next six weeks.
