I've got the usual suspects on my 23 I guess. I took Russel as the 7th Dman but I think Smith is interchangeable there. I took Jackman because he is a solid veteran presence but I was really unhappy with his play last year. I'd have little problem keeping Reinhart as the extra forward instead of Jackman. Two guys that I put on surprised me a bit - Horak and Monahan. Horak because although I've never been a big fan of his per se, he has done everything asked of him, done it well and is only 22. He's earned a spot. Monahan made it based on what I saw in Regina last night. The kid looked like he belonged. My guess is he plays the 9 games and is shipped out though.

Wow, I'm shocked at how obvious I feel this is... I picked the 23 very quickly in a single pass through the list.. I wasn't even counting...hopefully I'm dead wrong

Knight didn't look ready for the NHL when I saw him against Edmonton last week. With any luck a bit of time in the minors will do him good.
My guess? Monahan gets 9 games at least, and if he is indeed sent back to Junior then Knight gets called up. If Monahan sticks? Corban has to wait for an injury call-up.

I'm surprised they did so many cuts with a week of practice left and 2 pre-season games. Thought they would give Knight the week to see if he could do it.
Also very surprised that they have made up their mind in goal. Can't say any of the 4 stood out and that Berra should still be in the talks for back-up job.
Granted this is what i thought the line-up would look like when all was said and done.
