A league below? Silly, If Gaudreau was even 2 inches taller none of this crap would even come up. Theo(8th round pick) was 2 inches shorter than Gaudreau but yet outplayed all but a handful in his draft class by a huge margin
And how was the matchup between Drouin and Gaudreau at this years WJ's?

If Drouin was 4 inches taller and 40-50 lbs. more he is the greatest prospect if all time.

Exactly, Drouin played on a much better team with better linemates and Johnny was still better so thanks for strengthening my argument. If Drouin was 4 inches taller he would be the greatest prospect of all time? LMFAO!!!! That very well may be the funniest thing you have said yet! I gotta admit, you are entertaining.

Lol strengthening your argument.
If Drouin was being fed first line minutes and first Pp minutes he would have been a top scorer. Instead those minutes went to better players because the Canadian team was stacked.
And yes the stupid if so and so were bigger argument is true her if Drouin was 6'4 240 with his skills he would be better than any prospect ever. Maybe Lindtos would be close but doubtful.

A better prospect than Lemiuex who scored 282 points in his draft year? Better than Crosby? lol.

Probably yes if you consider how much more he would have scored at that size.
He would have killed junior at that size.

I knew in the long term I would regret cheering for meaningless wins at the end of last season, but this confirms it.

Probably a shoe-in for the Calder if he plays on the same line with Stamkos or St. Louis. Totally unfair that when St. Louis retires Drouin will slot in as another guy capable of scoring 90 points per season. Then again he's also going to be completely wasted in a market like Tampa Bay.

Seems like there's always a player like Shinkaruk who falls from a top 5 spot entering the year to a mid or late 1st position at the actual draft, but I can't think of many like Drouin who do the inverse.
|
Thomas Hickey comes to mind, though he shouldn't have been taken 4th overall.
Jeff Skinner came from nowhere to 7th overall in 2010.

I still can't believe a team with the top 2 scorers in the regular season got to draft 3rd overall and get another top talent. Doesn't seem fair.

Ok, so then I assume you wouldn't trade Gaudreau for Drouin?

What's all this nonsense about Drouin playing for a better team at the WJHC?
Not sure what tournamant you guys were watching.

Drouin, Monahan and Gaudreau are all in the same conversation skill wise in my opinion.

I think he means having a guy like Gaudreau helps soften the pain of not having Drouin
I'd be sad if we had to be jealous of Drouin AND Gaudreau

So you're laughing so hard at saying drouin would be a great prospect if 4 inches taller.. is all of a sudden different from this:

Just look at the World Juniors and who was better.

but apparently 4 inches is enough to make him go from 104th overall to 1st
it's the same argument.. but you laugh at his claim, but a couple posts up you did pretty much the same thing, even using the same number.

I think the most impressive thing in this video is his puck protection. He's always got his body between the puck and the opposing checker. Sweet hands too - but those can disappear in a hurry in a real game (time/space/physicality).
Will be an exciting player to watch none the less.
