Franzen on the power play, 3-1 Detroit. The Kings are taking bad penalties.

Yes, from the NHL.com standings page:

* - Division leaders are seeded 1, 2, and 3 in Conference standings. If two or more clubs are tied in points during the regular season, the standing of the clubs is determined in the following order:

The fewer number of games played (i.e., superior points percentage).
The greater number of games won, excluding games won in the Shootout. This figure is reflected in the ROW column.
The greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs. If two clubs are tied, and have not played an equal number of home games against each other, points earned in the first game played in the city that had the extra game shall not be included. If more than two clubs are tied, the higher percentage of available points earned in games among those clubs, and not including any "odd" games, shall be used to determine the standing.
The greater differential between goals for and against for the entire regular season. NOTE: In standings a victory in a shootout counts as one goal for, while a shootout loss counts as one goal against.

I hate the Oilers and how bad they are. It's astonishing that they are behind the Flames in the standing. The Flames are not a good team and the NHL standings just reinforces as to how absolutely terrible the Oilers are.

Jeez the Oilers have been outshot in their last 9 games, going 1-8. Friggen pathetic.

Hall has elite talent, but he has to have the hockey sense of a peanut.

Of the possible teams the Canucks could face in round 1 I am actually hoping for the Kings. They just don't scare me as much as they did last year. I'm not gonna pull a HS33 and say the Canucks will sweep them or anything, because obviously the Kings are a good team and can knock off the Canucks, but I feel that if the Canucks can play like they did last game that they should be able to win the series.

Yakupov made a pretty nice defensive play. I don't hate him like most of CP, but he is a fairly good player.

Canucks sweeping is very unlikely.

Well yeah, but the differential would be the deciding difference if both teams ended up with 19-25-4

ROW is the first one, yes

Just saw Schneider injured and Cannata called up. 7uongo to the rescue!

Detroit wins 3-1 and are now in eighth place, one point back of the Wild.

He has improved a lot since the beginning of the year.

The Yotes officially eliminated from playoff contention. Don't be shocked if they won the lottery.
