IMO, a smaller, but more mobile version of Cory Sarich.
Physical, defensive Dman.
Also lays out massive highlight reel hits from time to time.
Possesses leadership qualities.
Can move the puck fairly well. (Something I think Sarich is underrated for)
The bigger the game, the more prominent he becomes.

I think he is more like Giordano, but with less offense (though we'll see how he develops)

I think his potential is bottom pairing defenseman and future assistant captain.

Pretty much think a smaller version of his old man.
A reliable decently mobile physical defensemen who will provide bonus offense.
Good leadership skills and a steadying middle pair defensemen at best.
But a good prospect

Great news. I think Ramage ends up as a Jamie Macoun. He's not going to be the ferocious fighter Macoun was, but he'll keep guys honest by stepping up and laying some bone crushing checks. He'll also be a guy that steps up and is a big game player. His nickname was Captain America for multiple reasons, but mostly because of his ability to step up and lead when the team needed a big performance. Ramage is a player! The only question is whether he can bring those same qualities to the NHL game? I think he's going to surprise and will be a big leader for this team and wear a letter.

interesting that it is that way, but why would it be different than Hanowski's? Both graduating seniors, same age.

Could be wrong but Broissoits and Ramages contracts do not count yet, as does Berra's. They should take effect next season.

Good signing, Feaster. Strong, physical D are a big organizational need, glad we didn't let one walk for nothing when he's four years into his development.

I always pictured him as a Bob Boughner type player (since we all are throwing out ex-flame comparables), who was also 6' 200ish

Why only 2 years and not 3 like most ELC?

Now resign Nemisz, Bouma, Byron, Breen, Cundari, Grandlund and the Heat should be a much more skilled team.

Bobby wasn't all that mobile.
Ramage might be a bit better at headmanning the puck up the ice too.

^ assuming they sign 6 of the 8 forwards, and the 5 defensemen, plus Ramo, that puts them at 40. Plus Granlund

I'd expect 2-4 of those players to be on the Flames next season. Namely, Breen, Cundari, Byron and Bouma. Those four guys, if healthy, should push for NHL roster spots out of camp next season.

I'm with you on three of the four, but where do you realistically see Byron fitting in on this team? I don't think we can reasonably go into the year with him in the top six, and his size makes a bottom six role challenging at best.

That's why I hedged my bet with the 2-4 prediction.
He'll be in tough, but IMO he'd be seen in a different light (be on the team for the last two months) had he not broken his hand 2 minutes into his call up.
But yeah, he's going to have to work his butt off, especially if we luck out and snag MacKinnon/Barkov at the draft.

There is still Larson. Though I don't think many consider him a prospect. There is also Ramo, but he is a bit different as well.
