Start watching at 2:40 mark for how he totally gives up on the play.

Honestly, think this play is just as bad as Kostitsyn
Oh wow that is terrible, reminds me of Ballard on the Canucks during the cup finals when he threw a dive behind the net and then stayed down complaining while Boston took the puck and scored.

No he was out for his usual shift right after. Trotz basically said it was a mental snafu not laziness , he didn't realize what was going on and just came off apparently.

This might be the single worst backcheck I have ever seen.

Yeah, I'm a little surprised it hasn't gotten more play. It's one of the most gross examples of giving up on a play I've seen. Dropping his hands totally to his side like that.

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie
After last night's terrible line change, NSH forward Sergei Kostitsyn is expected to be a healthy scratch Tuesday vs CBJ.

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie
NSH knows its recent slide is broader/more complex than one bad change but feels there needs to be accountability on such an obvious gaffe.

He's in denial, it's hard to believe someone would actually be that lazy.

He was either too lazy to backcheck or too lazy to turn his head.

@JoshuaCooper: Trotz on whether Sergei Kostitsyn will be in the lineup tonight: "Absolutely not"

wow, what an idiotic move. Missed the pass then just glide skating then went to the bench while the Oilers are on an offensive zone? I would have punch the guy if I am one of those Preds player sitting on the bench. No wonder the Habs just wanted to get rid of this bozo. Wow, just wow!

I love how the Oiler commentator doesn't even mention Kostitsyn giving up.

That's the best part about it, he goes on and on about how great of a goal it is, without mentioning it doesn't happen if that bum doesn't quit.

Then again you can't expect much from Kevin Quinn and Louie debrusk.

Default Commentator said nothing

I watched this game and saw this. My jaw dropped, and not a word form the commentator! Not to take away from the goal but all that time for a pass???
I though the coach would be yelling at him on the bench, nothing,I thought the TV commentator would be talking about Kostitsyn more than the goal, but nothing, he just went on about how great the goal was, HUH??? what about the player that took a lunch break during a break away. Can you imaging Flame doing that.???
Someone's going to bring this up on a TV commentary on how not to play hockey.

I remember when Andrei was the good one and Sergei was the bad one, then after going to Nashvill,e Sergei was the good one and Andrei was the bad one.

Now they are both bad..

I don't think I've ever seen two guys as frustrating as the Tits Bros. Andrei had the best shot on the Habs for years. An absolute laser of a wrist shot. He also carried about 20 extra pounds of flab. Tons of talent and zero drive.

Amazingly he leads the team in plus minus (+7). I guess he makes it to the bench at the most opportune times! He'll probably score on the flames tonight
