The Dallas backup did not play poorly. His defense did allowing way too many quality passes IMO.
We took advantage of a tired team, but did look great doing it.
Flames offence cools in this one, but Irving is solid. Flames win 3-1

this will be the best honest test of the year. Can they rise to the occasion? Are they actually talented enough? Do we have what it takes to contend with the best or are we just a bottom feeder? God I hope we go out and win 7-1 and it shuts up all the critics so bad, as a self-proclaimed "blow it up" advocate I hope we win this so badly. Hopefully Iginla continues to play with fire because the rest of the team follows him when he does.

Use the damn ignore function or PM. Or better yet, don't say anything. It is not helping.
Now, back on topic. I am cynical. 5-3 Blues.

A few years ago I was in line at one of the concession stands during intermission, two younger doods in front me and they both ordered nachos and two beer each. Someone else ordering normally wouldn't grab my attention.. but I ran through the physics of this very quickly and was left wondering; How the hell do you carry that successfully without dripping stuff all over yourself and others?
So the obvious solution was to request drink holders, which they did. I thought hrmm smart. Ok so one guy carries the four beer in the drink holders then the other guy carries the two orders of Nachos. Well done gentlemen.
Then something happened that I will never forget for the rest of my life.
They took the two beer and put them in the front two compartments, and snuggled the Nachos in beside the beer. It was a perfect fit.
I have drawn a diagram and put it in this spoiler tag for size:
I was absolutely blown away, I got right in there and asked them "What is this sorcery you control?" And they told me to give it a shot, so I did. It was amazing. Even after a few heroine beer you could still maneuver like a dream.. I felt like I was floating to my seat, temping fate by weaving my bundle of treasures through the crowd.. it was ecstasy.
So now when I get to go to a Flames game it is one of the things I look forward to the most. Thank you young doods, whoever you are.

Anyone who thinks that the Flames will lose CLEARLY HASN'T PLAYED HOCKEY IN HIS LIFE!
Anyway, it's interesting that the Blues looked unbeatable a couple of weeks ago, but now the situation is different. Don't know much about them, but they have been very strong physically. One of the toughest teams to play against in the league and maybe the last opponent I'd want the Flames to face. But maybe it's different now that they've been slumping a bit?

This has the feeling of the old one step forward (Dallas Game) two steps back (Tonight) result that this club has been so good at.

If he is at all in gameshape I think he should be a clear improvement over Butler and Sarich.
