Besides gyms like the Y and Talisman generally have a higher female membership, and really its never a bad thing to have some nice ladies to look at (and of course, boosts your testosterone as you work out)
I was going to comment on that, I'm finding it rather astounding actually. A lot of talent in that place on a daily basis.

And also not many steroid monkeys, which is another plus IMO.

Yoga X, even though Tony favours the right side way too much, I really enjoyed the 'calm throughout the storm' aspect. Yoga is the closest thing to a fountain of youth that mankind has discovered, everyone should do yoga.

It's crazy how plyo begins to feel like an off-day towards the end (I only have to work out for 50 minutes, awesome). While I'm at it, #### 'legs and back' day, #### it in it's stupid ####ing ###, I'm never doing another g-d lunge.

A lot of skate skiing and riding my bike on the pathways till the roads clear up.

Heavens is a great gym for being distracted while working out.

Hockey, hockey and more hockey.

And when I don't play hockey I squat. When I don't squat I deadlift.

Hot yoga, yin yoga, crossfit, outdoor hockey, karate, skiing, getting out with the dogs and keeping up with the kiddo. Avoid wheat and cow dairy products. Thats all about I have time for.

Any suggestions for some great winter hikes? I've got a couple of dogs that love the snow but am a rookie on where to take them.

I was running every morning for over a year which shocked me because I've always hated running. Decided to switch it up about a month ago and am now surfing every morning before work - before i would sneak out at lunch or after work if time allowed (which was rare). Eating a ton of fruits and vegetables - booze in moderation

"Surfing". Asshat.

I do a lot of running and a lot of biking, so it's hard in the winter to find replacement workouts. I dislike treadmills and stationary bikes. I actually prefer to be MOVING someplace, even if it is running circles around a track.

I work in this building here:

So at 5:30pm, when everyone else has gone home for the day, I'll run to the top, take the elevator down, go to the top again, repeat for an hour.

Plus I renewed my swimming membership at the local public pool.

in a word.....I'm not doing anything. And it's starting to show. I can't stand the gym, and much prefer outdoor or team sports, but haven't had the time/ability to find anything.

Is there a floor hockey league out there? How does one go about joining one of these things?

Don't worry, when your baby comes you won't have time to eat nearly as much as you used to.

Do you mind me asking where you're taking boxing training at? I'm currently doing boxing training at the YMCA but want to find a boxing club in Calgary. I also agree with I have seen results in my cardio and core since signing up. My abs have never been stronger.
