@brianaguilar: NYSE closure tomorrow will mark first time the market closes for consecutive days since 1888.

Well don't we have a high opinion of ourself.......
It means that there is always some fool that thinks trying to ride waves in a storm is a good idea......wait unless that's you, then yeah, it's aimed right at you.

To be specific, it is the first time since 1888 that it is closed for consecutive days due to weather.

I'm surprised the nasdaq isn't open. It's all electronic trading unlike the archaic NYSE.
Sure it's great optics having a frantic trading floor but it's flipping 2012 for JC sakes!

I am pretty sure the NYSE was closed for more than 2 days back in Sept. 2001.

Ok i guess i was wrong. it was closed for 4 consecutive days.
I must have tried to unload before they closed the markets.

Lol - nope not me... I bet the surf would have been great the last few days when swells start to show up and the winds are still blowing offshore. Today would most likely look like a giant version of village square wave pool.
Soupy messy ####ty surf. Not to mention debris in the water. Stay away not today.

^ The pic of the guards was proven to be taken a month ago though the sentiment still applies.

Oh really?
I got it from CNN.com lol
Am I the only one who thinks it's weird that there isn't much news out of Philly when its easily the largest city that appears to be in the direct path of the storm.

I guess I missed the reports of Irene being a non event seeing as I didn't have power for 10 days because of it.
