Just snapped up "From Dust" for $3.74. I dropped over $100 on the kid at the stampede today, so I figure I am entitled.

Many times I almost bought this but always talked myself out of it. I've heard they are making a new version.

Edit: What is DungeonBowl?

The only reason I never buy anything on Steam sales anymore is that I know I still haven't played and finished all the stuff from previous Steam sales and that waiting will only make things cheaper down the line. Skyrim will be bought when it's $5

Hmmmmm, Max Payne worth it?

Is it a solid single player campaign that takes a while to complete?

I loved the single player, and it probably took around 10 hours to beat.

I have games that I bought two years ago that I haven't even played yet.

But, today bought a few more. I'd be crazy not to!

I'm hoping the Walking Dead game goes on sale. Yes, it is currently 25% off. But I want it cheaper!

As an aside, going through my Steam collection, I have Rome : Total War that I think I won in the Holiday Sale. I'm never going to play it, so if someone wants it, send me a PM.

Got Arma 2, Terraria, and the Tribes booster pack deal. Not sure if Arma 2 is still on sale but I strongly recommend getting it and downloading http://dayzmod.com/. By far my favorite zombie apocalypse simulator.

Steam Sales are fun.

Picked up Borderlands GOTY and L4D 1 & 2 for $7.50 each.

Witcher 2 is 60% off in a flash deal. Anyone think it might become a daily and go down to around 75% off?

Can anyone give a recommendation for Fallout: New Vegas? I might grab the Ultimate Edition if it goes on for 75% off. edit. I haven't played any of the Fallout games.

I had a good time playing Fallout: New Vegas. The biggest problem was initially there were a lot of bugs, but they mostly cleaned it up.

Really depends on the type of games you like. I like FPS myself, which NV most definitely isn't. There is a lot of RPGish elements: managing your inventory, customizing your character stats to suit your playstyle, running around and talking to people to solve quests. So for the action, it isn't really that intense. I often resorted to using V.A.T.S. (see video) to target and kill enemies, if only because the gore is pretty sweet:

It's a huge game. Apparently I spent 60 hours on just one playthrough. I pretty much completed every side quest. So by the end, I was actually a little bored, and just finished it off for completeness.

I know some like NV better than Fallout 3. I found them pretty similar, and maybe in the end liked Fallout 3 better.

If you really want the best deal, you can wait until the last day of the sale (July 23). If it goes on sale for cheaper, great. If not, you can buy it on the last day for the same price as now.

I enjoyed it, though I always hate games that limits what you can carry. I tried my best to keep doing side quests to extend the length of the game. Only stupid thing I did was save up my caps. Once you beat the game, you can't go back in. It's my first Fallout game, I guess I was expecting something more sandbox like.

It's good, but it is focused more heavily on the resource gather/economic side of the game as opposed to the military side of things.

I found the PC Gamer review to be quite accurate: http://www.pcgamer.com/review/anno-2070-review/

Definitely worth it if you get it on sale.
