shooting yourself because you have to lose some toes? how ######ed
The toes are just the start, when diabetes gets to the point where ulcers won't heal it's just a matter of time before you loose your legs and even arms...plus, it's very painful.
I knew a fellow who died this way, there wasn't much left of him in the end.

######ed is when healthy people shoot themselfs.
You mean physically AND mentally healthy people, right? Except how often does that happen?

All too often people kill themselfs that seemed perfectly normal to their friends and family. Most of the time it's probably hidden depression but sometimes people just "snap" and if there's a handy gun....
After reading a little more on Daniel he already lost one leg and was due back to the hospital to take off "at least" a couple of toes before he shot himself.
If you're losing your toes from complications from diabetes you basically have cancer and are dying a very slow, painful, gradual and increasingly debilitating death. Your blood is too thick for the heart to pump, none of your hormones or body chemistry are working right and almost certainly this is impacting the way your brain functions.
The chaps in this thread making callous comments and bottom shelf puns ought to put themselves in this mans shoes before doing so again.
Poor fella, I don't see a good outcome from this but one can hope

Well that's MMF for you. Never one to pass by an opportunity for a laugh at someone else's expense and to let everyone know that he's superior to them..
However the really sad part of it all is that people actually thank him for dong this
Some of those thanks come from people who are better than that, some obviously don't.
