Do people really leave their GPS on all the time? I can't imagine using all these location apps like that.

GPS is selective, it shuts of when not being actively called by an API. So it's only on when a friend pings you to see your location, in the new friends and family app, for example.

I usually disable mine when I'm about to commit a felony.

Gonna pass on this phone. Major feature is graphics, which I barely play games on the iPhone. iOS5 Will be a welcome upgrade though.

A5 chip, same one that's in the iPad 2.

2x faster than A4 chip, 7x faster in graphics

Yeah, I'm not interested in playing full-feature games on my phone. Infinity Blade already drains the battery fast enough, so I'd be curious how fast Infinity Blade 2 does!

Updated camera too.

Edit: 8MP, backside illuminated sensor (means more light capture), faster capture, hybrid IR filter (whatever that means)

I bought a 3GS like 18 months ago and at the time it was the latest and greatest. If Apple were to basically force people to buy new phones every 18 months at the full early adopter price in order to get the latest operating system I'd cease to be an Apple customer.

Voice recognition, cool. Having to hold down the Home button? Not cool. Button is too flaky and I know plenty of people with somewhat unresponsive home buttons.
