A lot of stores in Forest Lawn won't accept $100 bills including the liquor store. I know this because we used to have a moving company and everytime we pay the movers in $100 bills they won't accept it because they said they can't use it in any stores in Forest Lawn.

Went to both a TD and Royal Bank this morning. The guy at TD was clueless about the new 100s, and at Royal they said Thursday.

Boooo.

Sorry ladies, I'm taken.

I'd be willing to bet that whoever gave that to you got it at a strip club. That's the only place that uses them any more, since it forces you to give bigger tips at the stage unless you've brought along your own stack of ones. Or so I've heard.

Might have to withdrawing cash at the teller just to get my grubby paws on one of these new notes.

Its almost worth the hassle of tracking one down so that you can be the first to use it and see peoples reactions to the new note (likely thinking its fake).

People still use cash? I don't remember the last time I paid for something with actual cash.

As I am a frequent customer, I just have a monthly bill that is automatically debited from my account. That way, it feels more like a date.

I also find that dating is really just prostitution, but you don't always get what you pay for.

Interesting, I shall ask you this then: how do you beat up the hooker to get your money back?

Guy in front of me at the gas station today bought $201 worth of lotto tickets.
Threw down two new $100 bills. The look from the cashier was priceless.

Any reason? I just find it a pain and/or hassle to have cash. Credit is much more convenient for me, easier to do record keeping and it earns me points on my card.

The last time I had large amounts of cash on me was when I was a bartending, which ended in 2004.

Man... these new plastic bills would just be awesome. They had $10 plastic bills in Hong Kong and I could not even rip them with my hands. Same with all the Australian bills, you can't rip them.

I posted this on Twitter on Tuesday, but never thought to post it here:

It's very much like the Aussie/NZ notes, which are the only other polymer bills I've felt. The Australian and Kiwi notes felt thicker to me, though. This one is surprisingly thin. It seems thinner than the current line of paper notes.

Just got my hands on a fresh one. Pretty neat. They feel so weird, almost like they should be fake.

I'm not a fan of how they feel. Too thin and slippery.
