Another older group I like a lot that I haven't seen mentioned yet is Fluke.

My tastes run more to glitch than IDM. PM me if you're interesting in a starting point for some glitch. I know it's not for everyone...

Reznor even admits in his intro to the video that he linked that he wouldn't be what he is if it hadn't been for Gary Numan. I didn't say that he couldn't share a stage with him, and I think he fully acknowledges that Gary Numan is the master, and he's a disciple.

Desciple and talentless hack are a big difference. My apologies. Your initial post suggested that's how you felt about Reznor.

I would definitely agree Reznor is a disciple or Numan, Bowie, Pink Floyd.

I didnt mean to sound overly snarky but it seemed weird to insult reznor when Numan himself obviously has a lot of respect for the guy.

I love listening to basshunter while I work... its super upbeat and never goes into a slow beat.
If your REALLY feeling this kind of music check out an actual show, they are being held all the time at locations like FC.
Ive heard that tiesto doesnt really play his traditional stuff at shows. Anyone have more information on this?

If Infected Mushroom is hasn't been brought up, check them out.

Very cerebral psytrance with branches into prog and ambient. They put on an amazing show too and are usually here more than once every 12 months.

Easily my fave electronica. I do favor psytrance though and some people don`t like that. I love the way a set builds from a slow ambient feel to an all out assault on the brain by the final few tracks.

Not a Benassi fan. Saw him live once and he was so high. Was texting on his phone the entire time. :/

He's turned into a pop music diva. See his recent album, Kaleidoscope. It's sad really, but he was never a good DJ to start with. He was fortunate his popularity has lasted as long as it has. If you want to see a real DJ, there are much better options out there.

(I am a big fan of Andy Moor and Myon and Shane 54, they do awesome live stuff)

If you enjoy some of the glitch or IDM suggested in this thread, check out Wee DJs. Lots of free and cheap tracks at his site:

http://www.thismachineisbroken.co.uk/

I really like his Fear and Lothian LP. He was operating under the Touchin Bass label for years - they have other good stuff in the dark/glitch/electro sub-genres if you're interested. I have most of the vinyl that the Touchin Bass label produced.

More mainstream, I also enjoy Ladytron and Crystal Castles. For the latter, more their first album than their latest stuff.

^^^ Will do, TBM would hang down at the club when not touring, great people!
Great songs you posted there as well, good stuff!
Actually here is a vid of a bunch of fans who made the trip up from the States for one of our TBM shows, kinda funny.

I hope the mixing in the concert was better than on the CD. God awful stuff, but awesome music he had to pick from.

ISoS 8 is slightly better, but I get the feeling Richard Durand didn't care much about how the mix sounded.

I have built quite the collection of electronic tracks and the scene just keeps getting bigger and bigger. I'm off to Miami in March for the Ultra Music Festival week. Can't wait!! Anybody else going??
I kinda might.
If Steve Nestor is gonna be there

They're quite formulaic sub-genres that really do stand out once you listen closely. My least favorite of the bunch is dubstep.
