Thanks to the random guy that gave me $2 to get a gatorade at the new C.O.P arenas after seeing me drop mine and it rolling under the vending machine.

Thanks to all the random hot chicks on facebook, who don't activate the privacy settings on their profiles- allowing me to go look at all the photos of them in bikinis!!!

Thank you 4x4 for putting my quote in your signature...

Although I heard that joke from a buddy who heard it on TV- something along the lines of: there's so much nudity on tv these days, I just stand there shaking my fist.

You already came up with the alternative when the chat thread was locked, so complaining more about it doesn't make much sense because you can still chat.

Is it to express your displeasure about the locking of that thread? That's already been done, many many many times over.

Is it just to dig at the moderators? Make them a little bit angry every time you complain about it?

For the lulz? Lulz are ok, even if it's at the expense of other people who volunteer their time to try and keep things going well for everyone here?

Really, I want to know what the goal of this comment (and the others that dig at the mods about closing the chat thread) is.
I'm sort of surprised you asked me what the goal of my post was publicly. Firstly because usually these sorts of questions are kept to private messages, but mostly I'm surprised that suddenly the mods have decided that there has to be some sort of thought process behind posts. I've read the vaunted FOI forum and it doesn't seem like this new directive is being universally applied. Anyway, since you asked, I'll answer.

I post on this forum for enjoyment. My enjoyment. I neither know nor care if anyone else finds my posts or posting style amusing. I do poke fun at the hard working volunteer mods, but I hardly think I am malicious about. Frankly, I'm a little surprised a 5 year poster averaging slightly under 2 posts a day registers on your radar considering the other problems on the board.

If you remember the demise of the RTT, my post stating (correctly) the RTT was taking away from the quality of the OT forum in general was sited as rational for locking the thread. I accepted and respected the decision. I can honestly tell you that I have benefited the most from it's closing and what has succeeded it. This doesn't mean I have to forget about it. The RTT era of the OT forum was pretty interesting and exciting as far as internet forums go. Like some posters enjoy rehashing the Lanny and Jordon stories, I like the RTT.

Also, it should be noted that if left unmolested or unmoderated this thread only evolves into a chat thread involving a couple of posters talking about something vaguely related to the OP.
