I think SebC is referring to wonderful posts such as this in the "Hot Women" thread.

Don't open as your boss is walking by

This thread inevitably turns into a chat thread and gets shut down. Can't have people, you know, conversing here.

Can't remember if I thanked you when I saw you in CPR class.

And yeah I'm thankful for CPR and the lives it saves.

Thank you Mr. Sutter for looking just like this picture of a donkey I posted on Calgary Puck a few weeks ago.

Ok, so I have an honest question.

What is the goal of this post?

You already came up with the alternative when the chat thread was locked, so complaining more about it doesn't make much sense because you can still chat.

Is it to express your displeasure about the locking of that thread? That's already been done, many many many times over.

Is it just to dig at the moderators? Make them a little bit angry every time you complain about it?

For the lulz? Lulz are ok, even if it's at the expense of other people who volunteer their time to try and keep things going well for everyone here?

Really, I want to know what the goal of this comment (and the others that dig at the mods about closing the chat thread) is.

I'd like to thank Global television for their recent crop of hot reporters and on-air personalities.

I'll take either one of those woman over the pictures that White Tiger posts. With Huntingwhale you know he's being sarcastic 99% of the time and I think it's funny.

Thank you to my mother for giving birth to me in Canada and not in Egypt, Iraq, Afghanistan... or anywhere else for that matter.

Very good point. I served in the Canadian Navy, but I didn't really do anything special to be honest. Before 9/11. I guess I should be thankful that I got out before 9/11!
