I have an extensive collection of Polos in different colors and a variety of casual pants/shorts of the Dockers variety.
Please don't judge. I've fully embraced having kids and being middle aged. Clothing is purely functional for me these days. I just want to be comfortable....
......I'm so, so tired all the time.

One thing I've come to understand in life when it comes to what other people think about you: They probably don't.

Unbranded black t-shirt, carmel colored lined work shirt, black jeans, matte black leather boots (or dark brown bundstones of it's snowy). Sometimes I'll mix it up with a dark blue "Barcelona classics" camp hat.
Switch the t-shirt out for black or white oxford for work.
I wear a lot of black.

To this day, when I talk to someone who tells me "oh we were just talking about you" or "I was thinking of you" or any reference to thinking of me when I'm not in the room, it kind if throws me. Like why would anyone think of me if I'm not there? I assume if I'm not in the room, I'm never thought about... I figure I'm kinda like Lionel Hutz. When he's on screen sure people laugh, solid character that everyone loves, but if he's not in an episode you don't really give him a second thought. You're never like "You know what this episode about Bart joining a boy band needs? Lionel Hutz!"

Lately my uniform has been any type of pant with an elastic waist.
In the olden times I used to wear cotton pants and button up shirts (long and short sleeves) to the office. Jeans and t’s (our dress policy is dress for your day) and as comfy as possible at home.

Before covid, I suit up every day for work, no tie. Casually, I'm always in jeans, a hoodie and chucks. Lots of different pairs of Converse.

You live next door to a friend of mine. I often see you at different job sites I go to as well. Small world.

When I got my most recent job I decided to build myself a “work uniform.”
I have five pairs of the exact same RL Polo chinos in five colours: navy blue, black, grey, army green, brown.
I have five of the exact same Lacoste polo in five colours: baby blue, navy blue, black, hunter green, burgundy, white.
For when it gets cold I have five of the exact same Nadaam cashmere sweater in black, grey, camel, royal blue, and red.
And then there’s my “teacher thing.” You know how some teachers are like “fun tie teacher” or “suspenders teacher.” My “teacher thing” is that I have a zillion chuck taylors (the chuck 70, they have twice as much cushioning as regular chucks) in all different colors and patterns.
Now I just play “mix-and-match” every morning and pretty much every colour combination works as long as I’m not going black-on-black-on-black.
