Nothing. But the crowd is already pretty decent, they added a lot last year (t-shirts, foam hats, etc.). And I'd much rather have a decent freaking passing system and physics instead of using processor (and EA employee) resources to make the crowd's heads follow the play...

It'd be nice if 20 penalties weren't called in games. It is pathetic.
At least call some diving. There is no way I trip 12 guys in one game.
In the one game I just played, there was 42 penalty minutes, no majors. 21 minor penalties. Just stupid.

The one really good thing about this is with the AHL and the CHL you will have most of your teams drafted prospects in the system rather than having to wait for a roster update or just not have them exist at all. The question I have is wether or not guys like Howse, who will still be in the CHL next season will be on your franchise if you start with the Flames.

I play with 11-minute periods and the "penalties" and "CPU penalties" sliders turned all the way up. The most powerplays I've ever seen in a game was eight.

only time that there is more than like 10/12 minutes in penalties is if i start doing after the whistle scrumming or fighting, most games I play end up with like 6-10 pim combined (5 min periods) on default settings

I don't play games against the CPU, I play against real people, AKA Online. Playing the CPU is like cheating.
I won the game too by the way haha. 1-0 in OT.

Oh man ... I have time for about 1 video game a year ... maybe two ... but the CHL roster stuff combined with Be A Pro may have tipped the scales in NHL11's favor.

They had an article on this in the Sun today, and it said they will supposedly use authentic rinks for teheCHL.

Any news on the broken stick system yet? I hope it doesn't end up being the same "luck" mechanic that tripping in Smash Brothers Brawl is...(IE happens rare enough that it doesn't kill your game...and happens in realistic scenarios)

I heard that they were going to have authentic Pierre McGuire commentary which is only activated to complain every time a stick breaks.

I was hoping for one of those NFL commentator reactions (What I remember from the first winter classic): OH MY GOD! That stick just exploded! It must be the first time it must have ever happened!

I would love to hear new commentators. I've had their volume turned down since they were hired.

Are the CHL players going to be used in Be A Pro?
It would be nice to start a pro career as a 16 year old for the Hitman and work towards your draft year, and then trying to make the NHL at 18, and if you don't its back to the CHL.
I really wish they'd add WJHC, WC and a Olympic tournament in Be a Pro too.

I've heard that BAP will start with you on a junior team in the Mem Cup. Your performance at the tournament dictates where you're drafted. So it doesn't sound like you start as a 16 year old and play through the CHL, instead it's more of an expanded version of the prospects game format from NHL 10.
I'd also love to see some international tournaments, but licensing is obviously an issue. I still don't see why they can't expand the options for customizing your tournament to allow people to create the Olympic tournament themselves. The whole 8 or 16 team tournament limitation is pretty weak.
