I wouldn’t mind Laughton. Would be a middle 6 C in case of an injury. We’ve been fortunate to not have very many injuries lately.

It certainly would be the smart bet.

Derek Ryan had a semi-successful stint here as a depth piece, but was overpaid for what he brought. I can see Rodrigues thriving under Sutter with his puck carrying, 2-way intelligence and versatility.

Wouldn’t hate Kane to Columbus, better than Edmonton/Toronto/NYR. Still doubt they’d be a playoff team with their lack of two-way forwards, D and goaltending

Imagine having Gaudreau Kane and Laine but your top C is Boone Jenner.

I can’t see Kane waiving for the Jackets when Friedman just reported he wants to wait until he knows which teams will be good.

The Rangers just make too much sense. They can likely build a package around Kakko, prospects and a 1st while reuniting Kane with Panarin. They have a top team and market.

He can go to the Jackets and still get traded again when they抮e sellers at the deadline.

He isn't going to Columbus and they don't have the Cap to make it work unless they include Voracek who has no value on that contract so they would to add even more to the deal to get them to take him as well. Johnson would be going back to Chicago as well as other costly pieces for one year of Kane. Makes no sense.

It's easy for most Flames fans to imagine I would think.

Default 3 Potential Calgary Flames Trading Partners for Juuso Valimaki

3 Potential Calgary Flames Trading Partners for Juuso Valimaki

Quote:
As far as who he will move remains to be seen, but one would assume that Juuso Valimaki is near the top of that list. The 23-year-old was not too long ago considered to be the organization抯 top prospect, but injuries combined with frustrating play have led to him becoming an afterthought at this point. Given that he has just 82 career games in the NHL may mean that he wouldn抰 command the forward Treliving is hoping to pick up, though, it would free up an additional $1.55 million to add a potential remaining free agent such as Evan Rodrigues. With that said, here are three potential trading partners for the Finnish blueliner.

Don’t think they would be interested in Val straight up, but if we’re trading with Anaheim, I would be extremely interested in Maxime Comtois. He’s a 6’2”210lb LW, with speed, skill, and a nasty streak. Sutter would love him. He was derailed last year because of injuries, but he put up 33 pts in 55 games the year prior.

Wonder if Buffalo would swap Casey Mittelstadt for Valimaki? Neither guy has lived up to their hype and could use a change of scenery.

I would take Mittlestadt in a heartbeat. Skating is a bit of an issue, but he’s super skilled.

Mittelstadt has way more value imo.

You’re looking at someone like Vilardi for Valimaki (for comparison sake).
