Cito Gaston with a real nice letter to the fans on the eve of his retirement. A nice gesture much like the Roy Halladay ad. He even recognizes the broadcasters who past away which was really nice as well. He will be missed.

Seeing Travis Snider hit a jack with wearing a Cito Gaston mustache was just awesome! All the best, Cito.

Cincinnati fans are stupid.

Sportsnet One just added the Padres/Giants game for the afternoon sched. Pretty impressive move, for the baseball fans of Canada

Game means a lot too, with the Braves up 7-2.

TB with the advantage right now to win the AL East, both them and the Yankees are trailing, but the Yankees need the victory with a TB loss for the division.

The creation of SportsNet one was a slap in the face to sports fans in Canada who had already paid for the other SportsNet channels.

I despise Rogers for doing it and I hate the channel, I'm just glad I get to see the game today.

Me too... but the NL West/Wildcard race is crazy right now. It's bad enough the Yankees are involved, but hopefully these two teams can punt the Braves. Atlanta and New York together would make the playoffs unwatchable.

Y'all know what clutch is, right? Well, yeah, the Padres are the opposite of that so far today.

Unfair to say the Padres choked. They won the first two in SF, and played their guts out today. If they add some hitting next year to go with that pitching, they will be awesome.

what is a 10 game losing streak to lose the division lead in September?

They may not have choked in this series, but they choked.

Unfortunately for the Padres, they played the last month how everyone thought they would play through the entire season, crappy. Still a very successful season for that franchise.
