It's only an 8 team no trade clause, so still many options. Might be able to convince him to waive as well.
Just complete speculation on my part, but if I had to guess who was on his no trade list, it would all the Canadian teams, so that's 6 right there. The others I would guess are two of Buffalo, Minnesota, Columbus or Arizona.
If I had to guess, Toronto would be one team on that possible list would might want him due to the Treliving connection. It's not uncommon for GMs to bring in players they are familiar with.

For what it's worth, I have heard the total opposite of the Lebrun report about the Hanifin extension possibilities. Friedman said that teams were asking about Hanifin, which is true, and why wouldn't they? But Lebrun's report of him being unwilling to extend is false.

Order of preference for me:
1. Sign Hanifin at around 7x8, trade Lindholm
2. Trade both
3. Sign Lindholm, at around 9x8, trade Hanigin
4. Keep both

Taking a while to get to 5000

If ownership refuses to rebuild/retool I hope the players force them into one.
Trade em all.

No disrespect to you or who you heard that from, but LeBrun is the top cheese legit hombre on offseason stuff and has a stellar batting percentage when it comes to Flames news.
I'd rather have the Flames keep Hanifin myself so there's no bias of confirmation here but I'll believe LeBrun before anyone not named Conroy.

I'd probably go:
1. Trade both
2. Sign Hanifin at around 7x8, trade Lindholm
3. Sign Lindholm, at around 9x8, trade Hanifin
4. Keep both
I'm beginning to believe that teams should really only be buying significant chunks of UFA years from top tier players as the value just doesn't seem to be there from non-top tier players. Pay the premium/term on 2nd and maybe shorter term 3rd contracts, but keep the door revolving as those contracts come to an end and shuffle in the next wave through the returns on players. I don't think Lindholm is a player that we should be buying all of those years spanning age 30-38, and while I'd be less hesitant to do with Hanifin due to his current age, I still wouldn't want to buy 28-36 of his either...but I feel like his game will age better, hence the order of the points above.
As gross as it looks at times, there's something to be said about Vegas' lack of loyalty to the players. Team first, always.

I wish they could trade Hanifin and Lindholm to the Rangers for fox.

13 of Vegas’s starting 18 forwards and dmen played a game for them in 19/20.
As a comparable 8 of the Flames starting 18 from last year played a game for them in 19/20.
The lesson from Vegas is definitely not that players are interchangeable.

Lebrun went on some ridiculous rant about how the Flames were being mean. And not letting Brad leave. Even though he was completely out to lunch on all of it. Maybe, and that’s a huge maybe. He is spot on with his assessment of eastern teams and their business. But often has no clue on western teams passed his bed time.

Toronto is often an exception to the “Canadian teams on the NTC list” anyway.

I would have been upset about Treliving taking his talents to Pittsburgh with them picking right before the Flames. Since the Leafs don't have a pick that high I'm fine with letting him talk to them to get that job.

Sounds like his friend and source within the Flames org WAS Treliving. Maybe Tre is using him from Toronto to shake the tree with Hanifin as well.

Whack take.
LeBrun is one of the better insiders.
You’re just up on some whimbly bimbly anti-insider/anti-easterner kick of silly.

Lebrun broke or had accurate info during Trelivings time Calgary.
I remember him talking about the Hamilton deal weeks before it broke with Hanifin and Lindholm named as the targets. At the time I thought he was out of his mind lol because those two guys had tremendous upside and younger players.
I do wonder if Treliving was his source now because getting news out of Calgary was difficult.

Wrong, the man is not as good as you make him seem. He was way off on the Treliving thing, and I am not into arguing about this. To each their own, Lebrun is not even close to "one of the better" insiders. It is hard to take a man seriously. The Treliving crap he and Salim spilled about the Flames being a bad look, etc., was complete garbage. There is a reason Lebrun lost his job in the States a few years back . . . . .

Really? Going after him because of his weight?
That's really lame.

What did Salim and Lebrun say about being a bad look? Genuinely missed that controversy.
