I checked with 2 pharmacy's near me and my wife checked with AHS. Pfizer is not available until next week. No clue how you got it.

Interesting, the AHS Booking system no longer allows you to search by what vaccine is available. I just assumed that a place I previously got Pfizer from would carry it again. Oh well, Ill take the Moderna one. Beta, Omicron, 4 x Pfizer and Now Moderna. May as well collect them all.

My wife was the only one in our family who got Moderna and it wiped her out for a day. I have yet ot meet anyone who received Moderna who also did not feel well, it seems to really kick the crap out of you. Phizer was a mixed bag. Zero downside for me other than a sore arm. AZ I felt a little under the weather for the evening the day I got the shot.
Booked myself for Saturday and am hoping I don't regret it - I need to put winter tires on my wife's vehicle this weekend.
Also, I'm away from the booking site but how far in advance can you book? Is there a limit? Looking to possibly get an appointment for my son at Christmas when he comes home.

I have the double hat trick: Original Pfizer x 3, original Moderna, Pfizer bivalent, and now Moderna XBB 1.5.

Yeah, honestly, it's just what they had at the Shopper's on Heritage when I showed up. I would have been fine with anything, but they gave me the option of Pfizer or Moderna, so I went with Pfizer. Either will be fine.
Beta. That's right. You were the first person I "know" to contract Covid. You had some kids with it playing at your house or something, I believe. That feels like an eternity ago.

I get all the side effects and such so I was stunned when the original Pfizer shot did nothing to me. I was pretty happy about that.
It was either 2 or 3 (who can remember at this point?) but one of them did me in for a few days.
But beyond that I just go to the local pharmacy that I pass by every day on my way to work and they say I'm up for a booster and ask 'what do I want?'
"I dunno...what have you got? Just hit me with the cure and I've gotta go. I've got things to do."

I've had Astrazenica, Pfizer and Moderna. Astrazenica gave me fever/chills, just a sore arm from Pfizer, and not even that from Moderna.

I got my ass kicked by all of them, and the same thing happens with the flu shot.

Just to clear up some questions:
1) Pharmacies can't charge for vaccines given to them for free that they get paid by AHS to inject. There are no private COVID shots
2) Pfizer just got into Canada a few days ago so not every pharmacy will necessarily have them, though most should
3) early Flu/COVID shot season the initial shipments are always small, but inventories will stabilize by late October for sure
4) All COVID vaccines available are XBB
5) Health authority injection clinics will book appointments far into the future because they control the vaccine supply and have more employees to ensure they can do it. Pharmacies usually only put appointments up a week or two in advance because vaccine supply and labour are hard to predict further out than that. If there are no appointments available when you look, wait a few days. Demand far, far, far outstrips supply of appointments really in the season but even a week or two after thing stabilize and appointments become available

Got my flu and Covid boosters at the local pharmacy yesterday. Didn’t ask which brand the Covid booster was. Don’t care.

I never react to the flu shot, but I did react to at least one of the COVID vaccines. However, I didn’t react to all of them, which I thought was weird.
And so I convinced myself that is was a big pharma conspiracy and now I’m a hardcore anti-vaxxer.

Ditto. My body has had a cocktail of AZ, Pfizer and Moderna. I believe if this next shot is Moderna that’ll give me 2 of each.

I don't know which shot went in which arm last night, but I can't barely lift my left one today. Clearly they ran out and gave me saline in place of one of the vaccines.

Never did catch covid after my wife tested positive last week, so went for my fluvid shots after work. She did the C19 Pfizer ABB in the left shoulder and flu in the right (said she doesn’t like giving them both in the same arm). Flu arm took the early pain lead in the evening, but the covid arm took over overnight and is pretty tender today. Seems worse than the previous shot with shoulder, armpit, and back pain, along with general fatigue.
