I can't see it happening for Brady Tkachuk. He is as close to untouchables there is.

I know they just signed Galchenyuk in the offseason to a one year "show me" contract, but so far he has only been worked into 3 games and averages 11 minutes in those 3 games. Not playing tonight either from what I can see.

If they really don't want him, they might as well trade him for something they do want. Unless he is injured, but Google is failing me there.

I just can’t see Ottawa trading him for Bennett, as much as I am a fan of Benny’s. The warts in Bennett’s game are there for us to see, so the scouting staff of Ottawa would know about them too. Batherson is a beaut though.

If you don't get at least a 2nd rounder for Bennett you keep him for the playoffs. Let him go for nothing in the off season if he doesn't deserve to be qualified. Also you don't trade him in division unless you get a much better offer.

I like the Tyson Jost idea.

To Colorado:
Sam Bennett
Oliver Kylington

To Calgary:
Tyson Jost
Greg Pateryn

The cap.hits are pretty close. I am pretty sure Jost has asked out of Colorado as well. Bennett gives them a physical edge for going up against St. Louis and Vegas. Jost needs a fresh start as well, he isn't as physical as Bennett but he is better defensively and would fit nicely on a line with Backlund.

Kylington is another player in need of a fresh start. Pateryn is in the deal for cap reasons, but is a 6'3" RHS D that is currently sitting on Colorado's taxi squad. He might be a better fit on the 3rd pairing than Nesterov.

We probably have to eat a bit of Bennett's salary to make it work.

Double YES for all of these. I am still very intrigued by Mittlestadt, I think he's too talented to be a bust-needs a change of scenery, and could still be a star.

I'm a fan of Crouse as well. He's huge, can move, and plays good defensively. His offense was steadily improving every year before this one as well.

Jost and Zacha are both the best options,IMO. Zacha is out of bust territory though-32pts in 65g last year, 4pts in 9g this year. Can't see the Devs letting him go just for Bennett.

Don't know the OTT roster well enough, but young middle six winger. I doubt they'd give Stutzle AND their first this year for any one player
