If Treliving and Ward truly believe that they are set at center, a Bennett for Gusev trade could help fix the weakness on RW. Most of Gusev's points last year came from anchoring the second line and 2nd PP unit. He's super skilled and would fit into the Flames top6 better than Leivo or Simon.

Ottawa obviously needs a kick start. Would a Bennett deal along with a Mackey or a Pelletier be enough to pry a Brady Tkachuk? It would be awesome if we could grab the two but I don’t see Ottawa pulling the Trigger on a young Guy like Tkachuk unless we can sweeten the pot a bit

Probably no. I don't think Ottawa will trade Brady even if we give them Gaudreau or Monahan, let alone unproven players like Mackey or Pelletier, or Bennett who is "proven" to not perform...

Seattle wont take him...all he has to do is let it be known through his agent that if picked he will just retire (unless he does wish to play there) instead.

So the Kracken will just move and select a real asset...likely Kylington or perhaps Backlund if he is left exposed which is becoming a possibility IMO.
