So easy to shut everyone down on the internet huh? Why even have a forum? I must not even watch the game? Heck, as far as your concerned Hamilton's going to be the next Norris trophy winner. I definitely can't see that can I? Risebrough gave Gilmour to Toronto because we couldn't ripoff one of the best players in hockey at contract time, a guy that played hockey and was in an executive position. However it's your position Risebrough knew more than we did. Ok, go back to La La Land. Your opinion is moot, your just a guy on the internet.

What are you talking about?
Either way, he's right about Hudler. It's not that a single GM's decision is smarter than yours, it's that your opinion goes against the opinion of the entire league (and legitimately anyone who saw him play from his last stretch as a Flame until now).

What are you talking about? Are you on acid? Dallas signed him to a 2 million contract. That's hardly the entire league... if Dallas didn't sign him someone else would have. What are you smoking?
Another fan "expert" on Hudler on this forum. It truly amazes me the silliness and ignorance. The one full year that Hudler isn't on the Flames team and Gaudreau and Monahan are struggling. No one see the connection. Truly amazing. No one knew Hudler had a groin injury in Jan last year and still fetched a possible second rounder for someone the "entire" league doesn't want. Truly ridiculous and funny you guys are! A team going into the playoff, and Hudler did well going into the playoffs, yet everyone is oblivious! Wow, truly amazing.

Perfect! Judge Hudler on 1 playoff series. Woooohooo!! Sure got me with that one!! LOL
The trolls keep coming. Come on bring it. You just sound silly.
By the way, Hudler was picked up last year at the deadline when it was a very hard sellers market. Many players went without being picked up! Hudler went because the Panthers wanted him!
Any more "informed" fans out there ready to put me in my place? LOL

Injured last I heard? Same status as Gaudreau. Wait! Are you saying we should now get rid of Gaudreau? LOL

He's been totally invisible most nights. I think at this rate even bringing in a retired Taro Tsujimoto would be almost just as effective.

To watch FF68 slowly descend into madness.
It makes more sense if you picture him as Homer the whole exchange.

If the Hawks of 2002 are the model then this Flames team will be torn apart long before they are a contender.
I don't disagree with your fundamental point that it may take a while and some restarts before things get going. But what people are debating is whether we have the right pieces and management in place right now.
If being bad is what it takes to be in a rebuild, then FLames have been there for 20 years.
|
I'm sorry, you are suggesting they started their rebuild in 2007?
When they already had Toews, Keith, Seabrook, Byfuglien, Ladd, Hjalmarsson, Bolland, Bickell, Brouwer, Havlat and Sharp? (among others)
Their 17 year long rebuild ENDED in 2007 when they lucked into Kane.

One player is 23-years-old, the other is 32. Unless you subscribe to the ricardodw school of hockey analysis, then you should very easily see the differences between the two.
And a little bit of friendly advice: if you want to stick around on this forum, then you should dial back your characterisation of other posters here as "silly" and "ignorant." Ad hominems typically make for bad arguments, especially when you are thinking against the grain of such a large group.

Stick around... hey, if all this forum is about is sticking the Calgary Flames executive narrative. Kick me out. Soviet style censorship doesn't work with me anyway. I've been called worse than that, so if people can't deal with it then stop dishing it out.

I'm not talking about your opinion—you are free to it, even if it is terrible. I am talking about the manner in which you have chosen to address other posters and the forum in general.
You have been warned. If you persist, I will boot your ass.

Please pay special attention to other posters when they are referring to me if you consider yourself fair and unbias, regardless of you unflattering opinion of my opinion. (Was that PC enough for you?) Otherwise kick my ass off now! I don't particularily care to be part of a CalgaryFlames.com narrative. The reason I joined this site to begin with was to hear other's opinion's. Constantly all I see is people being shut down for their opinions. Kind of like listening to 960 after hours where the radio station has a vested interest in defending Flames executive's position. I was hoping this website was different. Oh well...

How old are you? You've apparently been a member since 2007, but I suppose it's possible you got a hold of your Dad's account.
If you are an adult then I'd suggest smartening up a little bit. It's not acceptable for a grown man to behave in such a manor, even if it's only on the internet.
Your attitude is crap, your opinion is crap and there's not much else that needs to be said. You can play the victim card all you want if that's your last resort.

Ok, I would like to reply. I've been ticketed by the PC police. However, I'll bet you get off without warning. Not everyone is equal here. I mean you have far more EXP squares than I do, so you must be correct in your assessment of me and everything else in the world right?
