Oh yeah, no worries - the back and forth is part of fandom.
I'll be disappointed as hell if we miss the playoffs. The big thing to keep in mind is just overall progress though. If we miss out this year, I'l go right into being excited for the draft, free agency, and hoping we can build on this year's success.
My biggest concern as a fan remains whether or not Hartley can transition our current play-style into a possession based game of hockey. Advanced stats be damned, I don't care about those - but Detroit and all the other longstanding successful franchises have shown that to win important games you need to control the puck more than the other team (on more nights than not).
