The NFL should really start pumping up guys like JJ Watt and other guys of his ilk who do so many positive things for the community. Not to hide or forget about the problems, but to bring some a positive note back to the league in what has been a very dark few weeks for the league.

Cops say they interviewed Dwyer and he acknowledged the incidents -- but he DENIED any physical assaults.

Dwyer is being booked into the Maricopa County Jail on 1 count of aggravated assault causing a fracture, 1 count of aggravated assault involving a minor, 2 counts of criminal damage, 1 count of preventing the use of a phone in an emergency, and assault

Broke his wife's noise with a headbutt and threw a shoe at the toddler.

Possibly, but "I've been told I'm a God and given everything before I learned how to deal with it, so who are you to not respect every little thing I do?" seems like a good reason too

To some degree all professional athletes are ill developed humans, it's the nature of focusing wholly on one thing during the most important years of youth, the NFL and NBA players issues are compounded by the worship of high school and collage sports in the US, at least soccer and hockey players have relative anonymity until they reach the big show.
You add to that a large portion of players that come from dreadful social backgrounds with little appropriate adult support in the NFL and NBA and high schools and colleges that view these kids as little more than meat for the grinder.

Dwyer is an idiot. Ellington should get more rushing attempts now.

Just read that, I guess the headbutt was the first scrap, the second scrap he punched her on the side of her face. He was also talking about killing himself.

Guy needs some help.

I think there's also the fact, at least every school I know of--the school itself pays for football uniforms, travel to games, etc. If football players pay anything, it's very little. For other sports--kids have to do a lot of fundraisers and their parents have to put out a whole lot of money out of pocket in order to play, especially a game like hockey. So with a game like hockey, they have to work really hard, and there's a lot of pressure on them.

With football--these kids get everything handed to them. Look at the kid in Steubenville who raped that girl? He's out of jail and back to playing high school football already. If you can throw or catch a ball, you can get everything handed to you down in the US. Especially in the south.

The Buccaneers level of play matches their uniforms. Terrible.

It is a matter of series until Mike Glennon is back at QB for Tampa.
