pretty sure it'll be a 4-3-3. If it's true that Hodgson will have Rooney on the left wing, that basically means that either Sterling or Vardy will have to be benched.
Rooney - Kane - Sterling/Vardy
Alli - Henderson
Dier
Rose - Cahill - Smalling - Clyne/Walker
Hart

Digging into this further.
Why the ###### was glasstable, 1 game played, Wilshere picked?
Or Townsend over Antonio and his 15 assists?

While the rest of that team looks hot awful, thats a great looking attack.

Looks like a lot of speed on that lineup.
i mentioned it in 2014. The way Algeria played in the World Cup, that's how England should always play. Long balls down the wings or up the middle and crosses into the box.

Vardy feasts on longballs, that would definitely be part of my gameplan.

Oh man, some good stuff out today!
I really wish Lahm hadnt retired internationally. Hes still got gas in the tank and Germany have named Hummels, Boateng and Howedes to the roster now they have to get someone to fill in at that last spot.
Its not too late Phil! Unretire!
Fernando Torres being omitted from Spain isnt so surprising, hes at the end of that part of his useful life. Mata is a bit more surprising and seeing Diego Costa be left off is strangely satisfying!
"Oh, you want to play for Spain over Brazil? Why not neither?"

Roy is so loyal to guys that have performed for him in qualifying I think Townsend makes the squad
Rashford and Delph are the obvious cuts
I think the 3rd is either Drinkwater or Barkley, unless Henderson or Wilshere injuries linger a bit longer
guessing we start with
Kane
Rooney/Alli/Sterling
Wilshere/Dier
Rose/Smalling/Cahill/Walker
Hart

that's the guess just based on what Roy has said
plus Henderson is just as injured, maybe Milner?
Id personally put Alli there and go more attacking

As would I.
I'm seeing this article on BBC, that 5-3-2, would allow their best in.
http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/36311077
If we do that though, then I'd swap out Clyne for Sterling, and push Dyer back.
Kane Vardy
Rooney Ali Sterling
Rose Cahill Dyer Smalling Walker

ya I would love a 5-3-2 I think it plays to the strengths of the team
the weakest position seems to be that 2nd CM beside Dier, so move Alli back and take advantage of the versatility that Dier gives you to drop back with the CBs, and Walker/Rose give in their ability to attack the box and cross
while also adding another option up top

Has Roy played a 5-3-2 before?

this front 3 look so good going forward with Alli right behind Kane
Stones another issue
Wilshere looking a bit sluggish but such a quality passer

one of the papers are saying Roy's preferred midfield forward group is
Rooney/Kane/Lallana
Henderson/Alli/Wilshere
If that lineup plays vs Wales, Bale will beat us by himself
too slow, no defensive cover in Dier

Delph is injured and stayed in Manchester (probably wouldn't have made the final 23 squad anyway). Both Sturridge and Cahill have picked up knocks too and will miss tomorrow's game vs Australia. Forster in goal, Rashford starts.
