What was the reason people were voting forhmmhmmcamo, again? Was it legit suspicion or fairly random? If there was legit suspicion, I don't want leave him be in favor of lynching a random low post count guy first.

his name is a bitch to spell.

I'd say you're getting suspiciously defensive and abrasive, but that's how you post in every thread, lol.

I don't know if we can count that, but almost every post I have thanked has been a post I was thinking of making or a good point that I didn't consider. Someone who isn't saying much but still thanking posts should be seen as contributing in my mind.

After reading this I quickly went back through the pages and found 2 posts you thanked. post 45 - an avatar change, and post 484 - Aeneus saying we should vote for hard to spell names. How is that contributing?
What posts did I miss that you thanked? I know you can go back and add some thanks now, but it seems like a weird thing to use as a defense when you haven't really thanked any posts.

Sorry I havent been posting. I've been reading this already lengthy thread trying to wrap my head around things.
I need to go through it more thoroughly before giving any concrete thoughts.

Last game we killed off the inactive posters at the start and that worked great for us. I think the reason that it worked so well was because the mafia were new and were working on strategy while we were posting. By the time they realized what we were doing it was too late.
For lynching a player we need to try really hard to avoid casting the final vote before they have had a chance to confess. We all win together so if they are a townie and know anything they should be given the opportunity to speak.

So was your comment about thanking posts that made your point a lie, or are you confused?

I just got home from work. I haven't checked yet, but I was pretty certain I thanked more posts.
I will go back and check though, my face is suddenly red.

In the spirit of honesty, I thanked the post on this page as I read it before I continued down to find myself challenged on my manners.

I am going with confused, but I suppose that makes it a lie.
I definitely thanked more with my internal monologue.

Apologies folks for not posting as much the first couple days. I've been busy with a move as I took possession May 1.
I'm at the new place now though and you'll hear more from me.
Not sure why strombad wants me out so bad lol.
My one comment right now is that it's still too early to see real indicators from people.
If i were to suggest the next person to vote for, I'd say we look closely at those that voted for Timbo to get the noose because the one fact from that is that he was indeed a Townie.

Let's here what you guys have to say!
Especially Olin_Roachinen. Didn't he post quite a bit in the last game?
|
With 3 posts you would think you could at least go over them because I've done more than just said I'm here.
I voted for Crazy Bacon Legs and said my reasoning. I do have commitments that kept my posts low, same as last game, until the weekend.

1. Low post count.
2. As Flameswin said, quieter than last game.
3. Most importantly, hard to type user name.
|
Flameswin was simply wrong. Look at my posts from last game.
http://forum.calgarypuck.com/search....archid=6090563
Only 18 posts, very few until the weekend.
I voted last game for an inactive poster to start and I said I would likely vote an inactive poster this game but just like last game I've read everything and made a post a day. Unfortunately for me this time it set me to the bottom of the post counts so I'm okay as being a target for being low activity (will change now that it's Friday) but Flameswin and now you saying I changed my posting style are wrong and being misleading.

Just want to throw it out there that I was wrong. Not just because I picked ineedanother, but because I shouldn't have started the whole witch hunt on the first place.
Just because the logic was the best thing I thought we had at the time, it didn't mean that there was much more than an extra few percent chances that he was mafia. I pointed out at the time that it was just a little bit better than a random vote, but I didn't listen to that fact myself and got sucked into confirming my own bias.
We have a flip now, and something to go off of. I honestly don't know why Timbo was chosen, so I need to g back and review everything that happened. I don't know that we can get much from this flip, because without a full slate of voting, you can't really establish any patterns.
