Friendly reminder that he called the diver, who was trying to rescue a bunch of children stuck in a cave, a pedophile, for having the gall to tell him they couldn't use his submarine in cave passages, back in 2018.
He's been a well known piece of #### for a long time.
That was one of the first glimpses at his madness.
I remember that one. A guy...who is literally risking his life to save a bunch of kids he doesnt know, and Elon was trashing him and calling him a Pedophile? WTF??
He's trying to rescue some kids trapped in a cave not keeping an appointment at Hefner's Grotto.
That was madness.

A survey of over 100,000 Germans revealed that 94% won’t buy a Tesla vehicle. It doesn’t bode well for the automaker, whose sales had already been falling off a cliff in the important European market.
There are many factors at play, including increased EV competition and the Model Y changeover, but in recent months, industry experts have attributed Tesla’s decline in the country to Germans being upset with Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s meddling in local elections and promoting the far-right AfD party.
Musk is currently under probe in Europe for his political meddling, and his reputation has crashed in Germany after a couple of Seig Heil salutes at Trump’s inauguration and several questionable posts promoting fascist and Nazi ideologies, like this one yesterday:

Not even buy- Say someone offers to GIVE you a cybertruck on the condition you need to drive it all the time- would you take that deal? I'd have to think about it. I know whenever I see one I can't help but prejudge and think "What an as$&ole that person must be"

I honestly wouldn't take it. If I couldn't sell it and had to drive it? No way.
Not only would you look like jerk driving around, but I would bet anything that it would become a money pit after a while. Getting stuck in 1 inch of snow in the winter doesn't seem appealing either.
I laugh at people who bought them. Wasting a $100k for a cybertruck.

Nope. Sooner or later it'll attract vandalism or a confrontation. I need to spend precisely zero seconds a day telling strangers I'm "not actually a Nazi" or removing a swastika spray-painted on my Deplorian.
Musk seems to like to drive his brands into the ground. You buy twitter and kill "tweeting" just so you can fulfill a childish meme fixation on porn to name it x. Now you've turned your cars into swasticars.
I mean, if you get enough money and power out of the corruption running the government instead I guess.

No thinking about it required for me. It's an automatic no. It would be an automatic no even if it wasn't an ugly POS.
Cool, but they currently carry below 1/3 of the expected life time carbon intensity and improving as the grid improves, meaning while the ones sold today are stickered at 3x better carbon foot prints, they will actually be even better than that over their life.
I know this is the bash on Musk thread, but we don't have to burn down the good just to bash the bad. What Tesla did to push the energy transition forward 10-20 years ago was a good thing, we can accept that without liking Musk.

Wrong there is no acceptable position to support a nazi.
Also your numbers I am confident are highly flawed and likely straight up wrong. Show me the detailed analysis of carbon footprint including mining of minerals shipping them around the world and blood diamonds catastrophe to get there. I’m willing to bet the environmental impact is negligible or ignoring the mining impact and for example to be specific there’s a difference between exclusively focusing on emissions vs the rape and pillage of earth for mining transport shipping transport convert to useful material manufacturing battery transport etc.

The historical Nazi party also had some quite progressive ideas about ecology and welfare for example.
There's a good reason no one remembers them for it. For one thing, because it was just populism, not something they overall actually believed.
Yeah, Musk did help push a positive narrative about electric cars in a significant way, that's undeniable. But he's also a narcissist and a Nazi and obviously only did it to benefit himself, and has made it extremely clear he doesn't give a crap about people or the environment.
So there really isn't any real reason to give him credit anymore, just like we don't now thank Nazis for their contributions to the society.
I’m honestly shocked by the level of hate and vitriol people on CP spew toward Elon Musk. Disagreeing with someone, criticizing their decisions, or even strongly disliking them is one thing—but celebrating or wishing for someone’s death? That’s a whole different level of messed up and it’s a bit embarrassing for more than a few of you.
It doesn’t matter if you think he’s a genius, a fool, a visionary, or a villain—he’s still a human being. The idea that people feel justified in hoping for someone’s death just because they don’t like his business practices or personality is disturbing. If you find yourself in that mindset, maybe take a step back and ask yourself what that says about you.
You don’t have to like him, but if you’re cheering for his downfall in the most extreme way possible, you’re not standing up for justice—you’re just being a terrible human being. Let’s be better than that.
If you're defending a dude who has actively advocated for eugenics, platformed Nazis, and is a fascist collaborator, you're not standing up for deceny - you're just a terrible human.
Be better than that.
