I understand why you feel this way, but the bookies in Vegas would not agree with you. You might want to lay some action down. In fact you could make $160 on $100.

At the the time I said that while it was still 0-0 in this game those were accurate odds. Now if the Jays get through this game it’s greater than 50% they get the AL East because they could have two ways of getting the AL East - them winning or the Yanks losing.

Fair enough. I haven't seen any odds like that yet, but I must not have looked at the right time. I love the scenario of the Yankees winning out and not taking the East....would be frustrating for them.

Put it this way, I expect the Jays to lose Game 1, at home, whether it be WC or DS. They will be either wound up from winning and then having a break and hearing their own press for almost a week, or, with low confidence after choking away the division lead on the last day.
That's even if it’s Gausman in the DS. Gausman being tight or the bats being the all too familiar silence or the bullpen or a combination.
So he plays tomorrow, full stop. Jays will not fare well in the playoffs if they have to do a 3 game series after where they are a week ago, even if they scrape through a 3 game series.

I believe they’ll be just fine overall in the playoffs if they win tomorrow.

Exciting theatre to end the season.
It sucks that we are here given where we were a week ago.
But it’s simply amazing that we are here given where we were in May.
Go Jays go!!!!

Relievers who are definitely available to pitch tomorrow:
Hoffman
Little
Fischer
Fluharty
Varland
Bruihl
Question marks:
Dominguez: would be pitching 3/4 days
Rodriguez: would be pitching 3/4 days
Lauer: went 3 innings Thursday, might need to be saved in case they play WC on Tues
Out:
Nance: has pitched 2 in a row, probably wouldn’t go 3

Hoffman should be the last choice.
