Frank mentioned he could see the Flames going after Jake Debrusk in free agency and stated that the Flames will be active in the market. Not after the top top guys but will be in the mix for more than bargain bin guys. Heard this on Flames talk today

If the contracts are reasonable I am more than fine with it. Sign them and then trade them later if possible

Well ya, that's exactly what they should be doing. Sign Debrusk means you can trade away someone else.
I'd be a lot more worried if they were looking for core pieces in free agency.

I did what HJ (and others) had been requesting of me for sometime and PMd him a reply instead of stirring up the thread. He ignored me for it. There's nothing more to it. He can share the contents, but I will not.

You need players to fill out the roster in the next few years, why not ones that you can maybe flip later for more assets? Conroy would not be doing his job if he's not exploring the UFA market.

Steinberg did say he heard that Debrusk is buying/building a house here but no guarantees he signs here because of that citing Eberle has lived here for years.

Chris Tanev won't play beyond year 3 of his new deal. The man's an aged Warrior. His last game is closer than it is farther away. 6 years is a bold move for any team with his age.
