If the Flames can trade him and don't, they are setting themselves up for a rough situation after the retool/rebuild is over. The risk of what could go wrong vs the reward isn't worth keeping him.

I don’t think they want to, and I don’t think the player is eager to go anywhere.

He’s their unquestioned #1C getting primo powerplay time for at least the next two years.

The cap will be well north of $100M by the time Kadri’s money becomes a problem, if ever - the Flames have nobody but Kadri, Huberdeau and Weegar signed to long term deals, no key RFAs due big raises, and no prospects who are even in the system who could require a massive extension within, optimistically, four seasons.

TLDR Kadri stays where he is.

I don't think anyone was going after dissentowner, I think it was directed at Spector not having any connections and always being wrong. I think people were more expressing surprise that diss heard the same, not mocking or saying he's making things up.
