This is the backfiring of sports being over analytical.
Just the let the players play when they're performing. No sense whatsoever doing that change. Rightful got punished for it. That's terrible coaching/managing.

It worked perfectly . Minnesota won’t have their best lineup in the 6th and 8th when they bat again and it only cost us 2 runs !

Analytics are only as good as the person that is understanding them.
Analytics do say LH vs LH is better, and analytics do say that third time through the lineup is more likely to get hit...
But I would almost guarantee that analytics don't say to take out your starting pitcher who hasn't been touched through 3 innings with 5 strike outs, to bring in another starting pitcher who isn't used to pitching out of the bullpen with a man on base.
It's not analytics fault at that point, it's that the guy running things has no idea how to actually use the analytics at his disposal.
