Good for them but in the long run it won't matter, even if he is reinstated nobody is ever going to sign him.

I`m sure some team might consider making a move for him if he was available. A lot of people didn`t expect Vick to return but he is back in the NFL.

His wife has forgiven him, if he was that bad of a guy she would've left especially now when so many ppl are on her side. Almost everyone deserves a second chance, he's prob a better person after all of this. He didn't kill anyone, so if he's truly sorry I hope he gets another chance or the the wife who suffered before will suffer even more if he can't work.

Unless Ray is willing to play for around the league minimum (and certainly no more than $1 million a season), his career is over. His career was on the usual steep running back decline before this happened (averaged 3.1 YPC last year, which is utterly horrible for a NFL RB), and running back is now the most replaceable position in the league, so again unless he wants to play for cheap, no one is gonna take on the headache.
Vick on the other hand plays the most important position in the league, so of course he got another shot. If he played RB? No shot he'd be back (insert he is a running back who throws jokes now)

Listen, I understand that domestic violence and abuse isn't a pleasant subject, and many people don't want to do the research into it, but if you're not going to put that effort into it, maybe hold off on the assertions that such research has explained time and time again. It's insulting to the people who do the research and work in the field, and it's insensitive to the victims.
EDIT: Sorry for singling you out, but this has been discussed time and time again. Most victims of abuse take years to leave their abusers. It's not because the abuser is a "good guy," it's because they become trapped in a cycle, which was the point of the image corporatejay posted.

^ Most of those cases aren't as publicized as this one has been. This would be a good time for her to leave him and move on with her life, she hasn't.
I'm not gonna pretend to be an expert of any kind but not all situations are same and not all situations are black and white.
Obviously what he did is wrong but throwing the book at him doesn't help this situation.

Well Ray Rice is a multi-millionaire, which makes it even more difficult for her to walk away.

The Eagles should probably just re-list LeSean McCoy as a WR as a precautionary measure.

Quote:
Arizona Cardinals running back Jonathan Dwyer was arrested Wednesday on aggravated assault charges in connection with two altercations at his home in July involving a woman and an 18-month-old child, the latest in a string of such cases involving NFL players.
|
Quote:
One of the counts was "aggravated assault causing a fracture" against the 27-year-old victim on July 21.
Neighbors heard a fight and called police, who showed up at the residence. Police Sgt. Trent Crump said Dwyer hid in the bathroom until police left. The next day, Crump said Dwyer snatched the woman's cellphone and threw it from the second floor of their home to prevent her from calling police about another dispute.
The woman came forward last week, providing police with information about her injuries and text messages that indicated Dwyer "was going to harm himself because of what had been going on," police said.

WTF is going on with some of these players? It seems like it's an almost daily event now. Pretty sad.

At this point fantasy leagues should put in a new scoring column to give bonuses for players that don't have any domestic abuse charges against them

Nine NFL players were arrested on domestic assault charges in 2005, Paul Tagliabue’s last full year as NFL commissioner. Among those nine arrests, Hopkins’s single-game penalty was the only suspension the league handed out that year. The following year, Tagliabue was succeeded as commissioner by Roger Goodell.
Domestic violence is not a new problem in the NFL.

Social media is quite different since 2005 and a site like TMZ is now revealing more than many sites back then.
So yeah, domestic violence has always been an issue, we just know more now.
Still pretty sad how many messed up players there are out there.
