I thought the title "face-off" was leading to a face-to-face conclusion between Walt and Gus, I laughed pretty hard when I realized they meant it in a very literal way.
Is there any speculation when the final season will air?

During the scene where Walt is spinning the Gun on the 3rd attempt the Gun is not pointing at him it is pointed at a Hyancith Plant. Children are extra vulnerable to Hyancith Poisoning which have symptoms including Nausea,V omitting and Diarrhea.
So are you a member of the production crew or are you a botanist?
Someone totally needs to make a JIF with Gus walking out with half of his face blown off.
"feelin fine".
I also suspected Walt was behind the poisoning of the child. The guy is just a cold blooded killer at this point and is almost unconcerned if anyone else dies as long as it's not his family. That little old lady could have been killed, or innocent victims at the seniors center and the laundry mat.
I think it's pretty obvious where they will go considering next year will be the last season. Walt is done cooking meth unless it is by force. Why would he continue to risk his families lives by continuing to cook, or becoming the kingpin? He has to see it has brought his family nothing but misery, and he got lucky they got out alive this time. The only way I see him keeping with the cook is if he is forced to.
It sounds a lot more logical that more people find out about Walt next year, and either he ends up in jail, dead, or it witness protection. I do not see a happy end for this show.
I also believe since Hank made it out this season he will find out about Walt being Heisenberg in the first few episodes next year. Walt should realize that one way he can stay out of prison is to confide in Hank and have him help with his issue.
Jesse on the other hand may end up being the real kingpin. He has learned everything he can from Walt, and is much more situated with the lifestyle. He might even have Mike's backing, and did prove his loyalty to a point.
I have a weird feeling Hank has known for a while. I refuse to believe he's that bad at his job. He made minor connections with Gus into pretty sizeable ones, I'm sure he could put it together with Walt.
I think Walt's cancer is back. When he got the test results a few episodes ago, I think he lied to his family about it still being in remission. That plays a role next season IMO.

Looks like I was totally wrong about Walt being an (attempted) child killer.
Glad I didn't promise to eat pubes or anything like that.
I wouldn't go so far as to say Walt seriously tried to kill the kid.
As a chemist, Walt would know how much to give him so that it would be non-lethal. He is still turning into a ####### though.
When you look at all the people that have died either directly or indirectly due to Walt, no wonder he is getting desensitized to hurting people. At some point though, you would figure that he will lose someone.

Great finale. Even though I saw the ending coming, I still enjoyed it, and I'm happy there are no loose ends to spend the next year thinking about...
I don't think Walt is done with meth at all. His ego has grown way too large at this point to go back to his humble life as a nobody who get's pushed around. He didn't say "I survived" or "I made it" or "we're okay". He said "I won". And he was extremely pleased with himself depsite having blown three people up and shot someone in the face just a few hours previous.
I think next season will be Walt and Jesse will try and trying to get Mike on board with them. They have the resources between the two of them (and maybe Saul as well) to start a new mega-lab, but they still need someone who knows the distribution side of the business.
I think we'll see Walt completely go over to the dark side between fighting Gus' old henchmen that hate his guts, possibly trying to coerce Mike into working for him and Jesse finding out about the posioning plus the many other obstaceles that the writers will throw in his way. Then I think the series will end with him having to decide whether to kill Hank or go to jail.

After reading the interviews with the writer, it sounds like they were planning to leave Jesse in the dark about the poisoning just like they did with Jane's death. I don't think they have ruled anything out yet though.

Can anyone find the other music from the episode? Such as the stuff playing when Walt is escaping from his house, and then when they are burning down the meth lab? Thanks.

My favourite song from this season was Digital Animal from Honey Claw, the song that Jesse deafens himself with at the end of an episode, I think it was from the second or third one. Couldn't get that out of my head for weeks.
